I wish the people posting this video would be kind enough to respond to the inquiries here in the comments. Maybe they can't offer specific medical advice but at least acknowledge the viewer's concerns.

Weel... it's like this, I am not incontinent per se. I have good bowel tone. What I DO have is IBD (Crohn disease) thus frequent and sometimes URGENT diarrhoea. If I cannot find a loo nearby this can present a problem. Further, like if the urgency is extreme (before the 'safety valve') I can potentially and indeed have had many public as well as at home diarrhoea accidents. This is from chronic somewhat bloody diarrhoea. BTW I love that glass section of whatever building that is at JH. I also have higher than ;['normal' laundry bills which can be rather expensive as well. (BTW like I am a 17 year old male, and I must say also that like this problem is not always involving older folk and/or just women).

I had urinary incontinence and was able to get excellent results with a Coaptite injection, even after 10 years, it does the job. Well since then I have developed IBS and fecal incontinence secondary to a long delivery and large baby. A neuro stimulator was placed and it really isn’t working as well as I had hoped. Would I be a good candidate for a Coaptite injection or would they even consider this?

I am female 65 slightly overweight have never been constipated always have had daily bowel movements. For the last year have had fecal incontinence, not runny but soft often don't realize it is happening. I do smoke cigs. Will losing some weight and changing to a plant based diet help, have also become lactous intolerant this past year. Thanks

There’s something called the fodmap diet. It’s helped me discover that I can’t handle any wheat or dairy. I also can’t have certain fruits and vegetables. Ibs and diverticulosis is what I was diagnosed with. I have to drink plenty of water and exercise helps but I don’t get to do that as often as I would like. I have a job where I pretty much just stand in one spot. I hate it coz I love to move around! Im too tired and don’t have much time. The benefiber helps as I was told to take that. It has gotten better but my stress stays at the ceiling. I’m just doing what I can to get more information.

I underwent surgery for Sigmoid colon cancer Stage 1 in December 2019 No Chemotherapy or Radiation was given Since then i have developed Post bowel movement leak which usually lasts for 2 hours after a bowel movement My Anorectal Manometry is Normal Colonoscopy is Normal I suffer from IBS The surgeon is not able to guide me I am doing Kegal exercise since 1 and half years Can you please guide me Doctor What is cause of anal incontinence

I'm not a doctor but I was born with HIrschsprungs Disease so my large intestine was removed. I've been suffering from fecal incontinence since and for 40yrs have been doing the "kegal" flex and it doesnt help. I am the same now as since day one. Thats why i'm here. researching like you. This isn’t cause by obesity, I know a ton of women and men who are morbidly obese, and they don’t wear depends, and stay at home, for fear of losing their bowels! And you forgot to mention, someone who gets analy raped, can have this due to spincher damage, muscle damage

I had this problem everytime I use a bidet my poop becomes like water and I lose control should I stop using bidet or that's not the problem

I'm 45years old. I've had fecal incontinence for 8 years now. I had colorectal cancer ,went through radiotherapy and chemotherapy. Surgery was done and a stoma placed for 9months . Fecsl incontinence started when the stoma was removed and I started using my anus again. Will my sphincter ever learn to control again or could it be a permanent damage caused by radiation? Please help

I am 60 and underwent similar surgery as yours 4 years ago. I too am facing fecal incontinence and unable to find a good and effective remedy. I am presently taking Immodium 1 capsule per day to help ease the situation. Still looking forward to a permanent resolution.

I had colorectal cancer also I was going 20 to 30 times a day to the bathroom. Then I discovered the bidet. It’s been a Godsend. Now I go two to three times a day.

Dr, during stapled hemorhoidctomy they cut the anal vascular hemorhoidal cushion which create air tight seal and patients get fecal urgency after stapled hemorhoidctomy. Can anal cushion grow back ? If so can u send me proof from medical books. Thanks

I wonder if anal sex can be a contributing factor in fecal incontinence? Due to the muscles of the anus being stretched?

yup. there is a research on that matter. to women, anal sex increased risk to 30%, to men, 110%. just Google it. anal sphincter is really to seal the colon from leakage or push something out, not to let something in

I don’t think so. I don’t engage in that activity so I wouldn’t think so. Not saying there’s no way it would but I doubt it helps.

All of a sudden I have this.....I am only 77 female and have no children but I am on klonopin 1mg and visteral .25 and both cause constipaption and when I pass gas it is fecal staining.......and I have hemoroids.

It must be the poop trapped in the hemorrhoids. When you pass gas it causes that poop to come out

I was on a trip to New York where bathrooms are hard to find and most places don’t allow you to use them regardless of urgency. I was eating with someone who was upsetting me and though I have IBS D but had never experienced fecal incontinence ... but 2x I had it...totally lost all control before I could get to a toilet. Can you have it just those two times or is this the beginning of something new? I’m scared that this will happen again although now I’ve been home a month and I’m fine. What do you think?

@xierxu Facing this problem from last 2 months Bro when i go to sleep...i feel like something is coming from anus but when I check it with my fingers (nothing is there and sometimes moisture is there) and when i walk also my bottom feels like always wet But when i check my underwear nothing is there (it's dry only) but i feel always my bottom wet and something is coming inside my anus Can you help here please

@@rohan4973 I had this exact problem of wetness around the anus. What I did to get rip of this problem was to identify were the wetness was going from. Whenever I had the problem I touch the area of the anus and used a mirror to see the problemarea. What I found was a swollen vein that created an opening in the rectum that was allowing mucus to escape. I removed the vein and the wet feeling no longer affects me. I still have flatal incontience. I narrow it down to a weak levator and internal sphincter mucsle. If there is a doctor here, please give me some advice.

@@sherrywright7699 Sorry for the later reply. It is involuntory release of gas. For me, I can not tell if I have a fart in the chamber, so it comes out in very tiny amounts, and if I try to fart it is impossible. Then was I relax it start to escape again.
