I'm from the UK, we usually eat fillets of fish. Strange seeing entire fishes cooked for me, but we do have scale-on fish more than the US. We cut the heads though XD You ever tried Smoked Kippers my friend? Texture to die for, melts in your mouth. Perfect with Scrambled Eggs on generously buttered toast. A perfect morning meal before a big day. Season liberally with Pepper, and have a big drink for all the oil. ;)

I've never tried Kippers, sounds good but red herring is relatively popular here. Doesn't melt in your mouth though 🤷🏾‍♂️😆

My parents are Jamaican ...as kids, we hated the head. But they would take our leftover fish heads and eat the whole thing including the eyes lol This recipe looks so delicious

its the same..."soy" is how most Americans say it and "soya" is how most British say it.

Fish have a wide range of eye colours even in the same species. Dull, pale or cloudy eyes means the fish is not fresh
