So genius ! I love that kind of hypnotic riffs I’m so grateful from you to share with us that kind of things. Question: what are you using as beat box ? Could be also great if you can quickly share how you set your amp for getting that crazy crunch sound. 👍👍
@FeedbackGuitarAcademy
@FeedbackGuitarAcademy Жыл бұрын
Thanks! I record the drums on my midi keyboard in Logic Live Loops and trigger them with my iPad. Maybe I can do a longer lesson about the tone too, but I use a UAD interface and use several of the amp models they have, and sometimes I use Guitar Rig 6 too. I also use some outboard pedals too.

Im just using Guitar Rig software if I remember correctly. I also used a fulltone octafuzz on the fuzz setting. I think I go through the settings at the end of one of the Junior Kimbrough lessons like this one but I cant remember which one it was. Thanks for watching!

In the main riff, it sounds like you are muting the first beat of each measure, where you play 5 of the 6 strings. It sounds fantastic, but I can't see how you are killing the strings from ringing out. Am I hearing that right, and if so, how are you doing it?
@FeedbackGuitarAcademy
@FeedbackGuitarAcademy Жыл бұрын
Yea you're hearing it right! Im using my left hand fingers to gently stop the strings. Thanks for watching!
@MichaelReeps
@MichaelReeps Жыл бұрын
@@FeedbackGuitarAcademy That's a tall order, while also keeping the thumb going, and having the index ready to work the D string. But it sounds pretty terrible if you let them ring out. I'll keep at it.
