Things have developed quickly in the BGSU Falcon Cam nest, with two hatchlings emerging on May 9 and a third on the morning of May 10. There is one egg left in the nest to hatch. Watch as Erica, the mother peregrine falcon, receives prey from the male peregrine (the tiercel) and feeds it to the hungry older sibling birds. The third hatchling (also known as an eyas) was just hatched a few minutes prior and is still damp and pink - not as fluffy as the other eyasses.
Subscribe to BGSU KZfaq now and watch the live nest camera as Bowling Green’s pair of peregrine falcons once again set up shop in the clock tower of the Wood County Courthouse to expand their family. You can watch their activity through our live Falcon Cam, a partnership between the Wood County Commissioners and BGSU. This is the 14th year in a row the falcons have chosen this spot to nest. The peregrine falcon is BGSU's official mascot.
