I created this video to describe how to setup this switcher to work with your PC using a Network, which is how I had to ultimately get this to work for me.

The following is something that Shawn at Feelworld said to me in an email when I asked him about making the USB 3.0 file available to anyone who may need it...
..."For your question "Did you get my last message about making the USB file available for anyone who needs it to download?", if someone cannot download the USB 3.0 driver for window 7 system from Microsoft website, we are able to send them by 'WeTransfer' at present".
All you have to do is go to Feelworld website, go to the contact page, and send a message asking Shawn or Garen for this file. Make sure you include Shawn or Garen's name in the message so that it will get to them. They will do the same for you as they did for me, and make it available through "WeTransfer". You will be sent a link to the file to download.

Whenever I download any file from the web, I ALWAYS scan before installing - which is a very good practice to get into - EVEN if the file is from someone you trust - Once I scanned the file and no viruses etc. were found I installed the file. All you have to do is to double-click the .exe file to install it and that is it. I would recommend that you restart your computer once installed to make sure system changes take effect.

Note: (but not recommended):
You can also download a file from Intel for USB 3.0 support but I tried that and it did not work, and I researched why and found another person that downloaded the same file I had, and it didn't work for him either - except he did something that I hadn't though of and that was to install it again at system restart - ONLY this time he did not restart his system after the install, and all his USB 3.0 ports worked beautifully... He then thought - GREAT FINALLY --- BUT when he had shut down his computer and started it again the next time - his USB ports NO LONGER WORKED - bummer. So what he had to do until finding another solution was to install the driver each time he ran Windows, which he said was a bit of a nightmare, and I would have to agree... So the reason I didn't tell you about the intel driver first was because it may be too much of a headache to mess with.

This video simplified the process. I spent a good 2 hours trying to make my L1 connect to my computer because I didn't want to run it into the other room to the modem/router. Made the whole process 5 minutes long. Thank you.

I watched this video again, and realized that I do tend to babble and did way too much of it in this one, so I am going to create some chapters so that it would make it a little nicer for anyone to go to exactly the information they need. I am working on the "babbling" LOL...

How do you get the HDMI output plug-in from the Livepro L1 we have update the Fimware. And the HDMI IS NOT WORK OUTPUT

That would depend on what you are plugging the Livepro L1 into. Go to the settings of the device you are plugging into, and make sure the livepro device is selected as the video source.

just got my livepro havent used it yet is there any type of laptop that will not work with this or does it have to be a powerful one. i just want to get the 4 channel recorded then send it to my filmora on my laptop to fully edit the video

Thanks for your question. I am using Windows 7 with Intel i5-6500 & 16GB Ram. I don't use this as a video card on my computer. I use this stand-alone which I believe is the best way. I just connected a Monitor to it and ran HDMI from my computer so I can use OBS, and also show internet content while recording. It works GREAT as a external Switcher. I have two Akaso Action Cameras connected to it as well for different angles. I think as long as you have a computer that will run Hitfilm Express (which I Use), it should be able to run this switcher as a video card. The only thing that I can recommend is just to try it on your Laptop and see if it works. You could post back here when You know, so others will benefit from your endeavors. I love this thing. I am getting ready to create some more content with DIY and a review. I hope this has helped and thanks for tuning in. If you have any troubles getting the switcher to connect to your network and computer, just refer back to this video as it has helped a few already which is what I was hoping for. Thanks again for your reaching out and if you have any further questions or something that you would like help with, I will do my best to create a video for you.

What's the driver to allow the switcher to work in OBS??????????? Please Thanks

Unless you are using Windows 7, there are no special drivers for this to work. When you install the software for the LivePro L1, just open OBS, and add a video device, and select your device from the list. My device was listed as "RGBlink USB 3.0 Capture". I hope this helps.

Hi Steven, thanks for such a great tutorial. There is something strange I found about this device. Every time after I close OBS Studio or XSplit, and re-open OBS Studio again without restarting the computer, Livepro L1 went black and empty, and no video is detected. However, after I restart Windows, and open OBS again, it works perfectly. I wonder if you also experienced the same. Thank you.

Hello Hary and thanks for the comment and question. I have not had this happen with LivePo L1, but I have had this happen when I was using a Logitech Webcam from time to time, and I found that if I went into the Properties of the Video Capture Device (within OBS), You will see (just under the device selected) an option to deactivate the device. If I would click the "Deactivate", and then click it again to activate the device it would start working. The reason the screen is black is because OBS does not see a connected device any longer, and that may be due to another program that has taken over the capture device's connection causing a conflict with OBS, - or it could be an anti virus program running that thinks the connected device is messing with your computer and deactivating it. If you have an anti virus program running, you may want to try and uninstall or deactivate it and see if the problem returns, and if the problem does not return, you may want to stop using it (as it is causing the problem) or finding another program to use. I myself NEVER use an anti virus program and have not ever had a problem. I use a program called ClamWin Free Antivirus. I love this program because it never runs on it's own until I want it to run. Try not to have two programs running that use the capture device as it will more than likely cause a conflict with the program that was just opened (if it is already being used by the other program). Try closing down all programs that would use your device and open only OBS. The main thing to remember is not to use two programs at the same time that use your capture device, because one of the programs will not see the device as it is already being used by the other and hogging the needed resources not allowing the other program to use it. I hope this helps, and if so, please let me and others know, so anyone else having the same issue may be able to resolve it as well. Steven

BTW, I found another thing though, I relocate the USB ports and you know what, everything works like magic. No black screen, no need to deactivate and reactivate. I simply don't understand myself. How come just simple USB relocation makes everything works like a charm. Tks again Man. Great great video.

@@harysuwanda2529 Most computers have multiple USB ports on them, and sometimes a USB port may have metal tangs that are not opened as much as others. When the tangs are not opened/bent out, a USB cable will feel a bit loose when plugged into the USB port, and other ports feel more snug when plugged into them. If a USB port does not have a snug fit with the cable connected, the connection is not strong at all and will degrade the quality of signal being received from the device that is plugged into it. That may be why some USB ports work much better than others. You can adjust a USB port to be more snug, but if you are not careful you could damage the USB port, so I recommend if you want your ports to be a tighter fit, you may want to contact a computer repair shop to see if they make such adjustments. If you can find a port that works all the time, try just using that port only for a single device. Plugging and un-plugging devices from the USB port - over time will loosen the USB port and will cause loss of signal quality to the computer. I hope all this made since, but try to find a USB port that works the best for your device, and leave it plugged into the USB port permanently. Also, particles in the air will cause a build-up on the metal surfaces/tangs of a USB port and the cable that is plugged into it, so most of the time, a simple un-plugging and re-plugging the cable in will cause it to scrape off any built-up residue and give back a solid connection.

Once you have installed the software for the Livepro L1 onto your computer, the drivers will be automatically installed for the HDMI output. It really depends on the device you are plugging into whether or not it will see the Livepro L1 HDMI output. You may have to go to the settings menu of the device you are plugging into to make changes so your device can detect the Livepro L1.
