I'm so glad I never saw these ads at 14-15 because I 100% would have done it. Just shows how dangerous advertising sex work to minors is. I know TikTok isn't a kid's app, but there are still minors on there and this type of advertisement should be illegal. The fact that they're telling people it's okay to post sexual (yes even feet) photos of others without their consent is absolutely vile.

Like, they‘re basically advertising a form of sex work without being clear about that. Even w/o the ads being shown to minors that‘d already be extremely dodgy. Exactly. It's downright embarrassing that it's allowed to exist. Where are all the pizzagate conspiracy nuts calling this out? While they make up stories about lizardmen in dungeons, their own kids are being lured into sex work right under their nose with the promises of fancy cars and student debt alleviation. As you said, I'm almost downright thankful that this is most likely a scam.

Lemme say that 1) foot fetishes are way more common than people think (they consistently rank as fairly common in surveys of fetishes) and 2) selling feet pix is sex work. Pure and simple. It may not be on the level of something like camming or stripping but it is still sex work. And advertising a service for someone to sell images that someone else will get off to on an app that is largely frequented by teenagers is super super super creepy. Like fetishes are fairly harmless as long as you aren't involving people who aren't consenting to it, and by definition minors can't consent to it. Framing selling lewd images as something easy that you can do for quick money is just deceitful.

This is just depressing tbh. You've got a company advertising the opportunity to sell fetish pictures to strangers, specifically on the social platform with the youngest average user age, condoning the idea of exploiting your friends and family members, not disclosing their ads, and using the selling points of paying off debt and buying expensive, fuel-guzzling cars. And on top of that, it's clearly a scam. Like, how much more scummy and downright dystopian can it get? That said, great video! The editing just keeps getting better, and the delivery in the detective sketch was gold.

I remember going on Omegle and there was someone saying; 'If you go to your sisters/brothers room and you pin them down and tickle them, I'll pay you good money.' Same person also asked for a video where you tickled their feet. One kid (!) that was online, started asking how they would give you the money, because his sister was at home and he was willing to make a video with her in it. I mean, I got nauseous and left Omegle, after warning the kid that he was NOT supposed to be on there. Omegle has changed.

The flower lamp is amazing. I don't pretend to know a lot about the sex industry, but I do know that sex workers have to be very careful about safety and privacy. Even if the ads were only reaching 18+ viewers, not everyone is going to know how to keep themselves safe. Some might not even realize what they are doing is sex work.

I mean, it could be worse. It could be Freud's explanation for foot fetishes, which was that someone with a foot fetish was subconsciously reminded of dicks every time they saw a foot. Honestly, if you want a genuine answer, it's probably a combination of the foot being a very sensitive place on the body, the area that interprets sensory feedback for the feet being quite close to the area that interprets sensory feedback from the genitals, and people having some sort of experience with feet while their sexuality was still developing.

For the record, I don't blame anyone for any of their personal fetishes, I have my kinks too! But particularly the feet community seems a bit odd. Specifically the responses I got from them were...
