I was in Oregon in the mid seventies and spent the day in the woods with a logger. He was a feller, he went in to work in the early morning and the buckers didn't come in to work for another couple of hours. He had a 9 horsepower McCulloch with a 55" bar on it. He carried 2 bottles one wit bar oil and one with saw mix with him, a chain file and an ax and a couple of wedges, that was all. He only cut about 3 trees for a day's work. but he had to cut the bark off before he would start his cut for 2 reasons one the bark often had dirt in it and the other was he needed to remove it so he could reach the center of the tree. He was very careful about where he directed the tree so that it wouldn't break when it hit the ground . He was also very careful not to hit another tree that was down so he didn't break up any wood. I learned a lot that day.

Awesome videos and content! I accidently found you watching other videos, immediately subscribed and have been watching your videos. My heart goes out to you about Jed, I just recently lost a really close friend that I met through work, it really shook my heart and mind so my thoughts and prayers go out to you and everyone that knows him. I'm not a tree guy or logger but do help maintain my brother's property, others and do firewood. My wife got me a MS362C for Christmas to replace my old worn out 455 Rancher and my buddy told me you need to get a bark box, so I looked into it, ordered it and it showed up 3 days later. Awesome to see that Gordy is the man of West Coast Saw and see him in your videos. Keep up the awesome work! Would really like to see a very in-depth review on the Milwaukee battery saws as I have a ton of Milwaukee tools and batteries and looking at their saws for a liming saw rather than a small gas saw. God Bless Jake.....Oh and you have have a awesome last name ;) .......Josh Rogers

I have learned to never trust a guy with a blue saw. Nice of you to tell him it was the chains' fault, and not the fact that he just couldn't match his cuts. If I had clients asking me to cut trees like that in order for them to have a better view, I'd tell them to get f'd. I love cutting trees. Ones that actually need cut.

I have watched a ton of your content. I really enjoy a lot of the footage and information you bring to the table. If I could could give you any advice on the format I would say watch some of the Peter McKinnon how to video's for inspiration on shots and editing formats. Using music to add emotions to moments goes a long way. Then I would also suggest adding a 360° camera to the arsenal. The footage doesn't have to be 360 but your editing options are endless because your camera catches it all and you frame it in edit. Intsa360 is a good one but gopro makes a good one to. It's just often when you are looking up, what you are looking at isn't in frame. So I know you would get a ton of use in having one.

The neo tec saws are better than the holzforrma saws. You should review one. I have the ns872 and it eats. Straight outta the box. 25” bar I had in a 22” tree and was pulling hard. Couldn’t really bog it. It’s a ms380 clone. The ns872i is the upgraded version. You should try it. Show me what I’m missing 😂
