Nostalgic for feeling "that moment was real", this is "the reason" for it. Feeling someone was really committed to something at the very moment makes one relate, cause boundaries have their limits and beneath there is something one for all of us.

I mean as a genre, Shoegaze (which is what Soviet Soviet makes) gets a lot from Post-Punk. The first shoegaze bands had their start in post-punk or goth rock (which is a form of post-punk)
