Sweet Ai putting on a show for shabani☺️, unfortunately I think the reason Ai doesn’t want to mate just yet with Shabani is because she was traumatized with her last experience giving birth, it was pretty messy and I think she is scared for it to happen again.😢, maybe Ai might’ve already mated with Shabani in their bedrooms down in the basement? Either way I love this family of gorillas.😊

Ai had a baby before she had Annie & at the age of 9 Ai had a baby that died & I think it traumatized her.😢

Ai's first baby died at birth, i think that traumatized because she was so young. Nene had alot to do with her second child Annie being bullied & unwanted. Annie & granny will never be friends.😉

It's unusual for a Silverback not to be sexually active.. Ai was trying to get some attention and yes she may have moved when he approached but he also needs to and pursue her but no he walks away.

Whoever is doing the captioning when you are talking about a male doing something m, Luke Shabani spendninf time with Nene you should put “Shabani enjoyed spending time with HIS daughter” and when talking about a female it would be “Nene spent time with HER dad”. I noticed the captions were not written properly. Just want to help

Shabani deserves better. Ai is a lovely and sweet gorilla. But there is something off with her socially She rejected her child, is generally lethargic, and teases but does not mate with Shabani. Keep AI, Nene, and Annie in this spot and bring in a new Silverback. Move Kiyo to a bachelor pad and move Shabani to lead a troupe where he can get lots of female attention. It will never happen because Shabani is such a huge attraction for the zoo. I still love them all!

She didn’t reject Annie, stop spreading those deceitful lies, Ai did not recognize Annie as her child because the zoo took her away at birth for medical reasons, I don’t think she was even conscious during the childbirth. Annie was always taken away for several months which didn’t help, she dose in fact recognize now that she is her offspring and daughter.😊

Why would you break up bonded animals at all? If none of them are fighting. Its not all about breeding and who is best paired with who. Sometimes its just about family. Youre talking about millions of dollars here having to separate gorillas into like 3 or 4 different areas. They would all need the same amount of space to wander its not as easy as just buying another cage from petsmart you know!

It’s always “Ai neglected and attacked Annie” or “Nene tried killing Annie when she was young” etc. it’s really disgusting. Look at the lesser known videos of Ai and nene and scroll to the comments and you’ll understand what I’m talking about.

She isn't appealing to him. She is teasing him, the same way she always does. At least now shabani doesn't even pay attention to her, he just walks away from her. But one of these days he is going to get fed up with the teasing and he is going to go off on her.

@@epicFrogman no they don’t, in fact, they eat worse and their enclosure is worse also, haoko’s family is bigger so of course they’re going to have more food to feed all of them.

@@GrandRegentSScratch well both those families have more food available at all times , more variety . They have more muscle mass and less body fat, aren’t as skinny looking as the shabani group.
