Annie is the youngest female gorilla in the Shabani group. She is very underrated.
Most visitors to the zoo are interested only in male gorillas, such as silverback Shabani and his son Kiyomasa.
However, in my opinion, Annie is the most fun to observe.
She always makes me smile.

Shabani was born in the Appenheul Primate Park, Netherlands.
Nene was born wild in Cameroon.
The other three were born in the Higashiyama Zoo in Japan.

I understand that they playfully can bite quite painfully, and the only thing that saves them from pain is their thick and rough fur. Shabani: "have fun, just don't fight!" He doesn't care, although it can be seen that he is closely watching out of the corner of his eye🤣

Am i the only one who finds this behavior disturbing? Ppl do i need remind you they're brother and sister? Shabani should have dealt with kiyo long ago...hes disgusting like his mother, thats why she let him mount her as well...absolutely disgusting

I think it’s disturbing. From the hundreds of hours of reading I’ve done about gorillas, I think this behavior is due to the constraints of captivity. Definitely would not happen in the wild.

Всё это происходит с позволения работников зоопарков везде в Японии.Эти животные ничего не соображают.По логике Шабани должен всё это пресекать,но....посмотрите на этого Шабани 😮,у него развитие месячного щенка.

This world is so upside down. Since I can't go back to the 70's or 80's I am ready to meet my maker. People are disgusting. I wanted to yell out, they all look alike because they are ALL FAMILY! I hope Annie is on the pill and Shabini should beat hell out of both them. They have no respect.

I can see Kiyo looks like Shabani but I don't see anyone in Annie, she is unique. Nice to see the kids have fun. Ty. ✌️🦍

Agree about Kiyomasa…I think Annie favors her mother, Ai, who favors HER mother Nene…just my opinion. 😊

I did a double screen on my IPad and honestly Kiyomasa looks a lot like his uncle Haoko just my opinion… And Annie if you do a double screen she looks alot like Shabani…

What a sad site this is. How anyone watching this thinks it is so cute and wonderful has lost touch with reality. It is not okay to lock these wonderful animals up in this concrete prison for the sole purpose of our enjoyment. Why is it okay to imprison these animals for their entire lives for no reason. These animals are not happy being confined in this tiny enclosure day in and day out.
