Either you don't bother to train with said epithet, to test its limits and increase stat potential OR you just unlocked your Epithet. In this case for the sheriff, it could go both ways and he's middle aged. And keep in mind his town appointed him sheriff BECAUSE he has an epithet, so they either didn't account for how strong it could be or didn't care because logically they think 'Superpower/magic equals stronger than human'. Which is a shame considering 'Bluster' means Strong winds. So if he trained enough with it, he could use techniques from Kirby and shoot air bullets.

No, Ramsey's stats are read like normal. 2 stars in stamina, 3 for proficiency and 5 for creativity. He just made fake gold stars to let him look cooler for his stat card. He's not very tough, but *very* clever when he wants to be.

Yeah, Ramsey's pretty great, most people like him for his quick wit, silver (or should i say golden) tongue, and the fact (as you will see in the next couple episode) that he is a character who's main trait is having common sense in a world that clearly doesn't. Since I've seen no one else bring it up: Percy's power basically makes her a Tower Defense game player in a tabletop setting.

So some fun facts about this arc. Ramsey is voiced by his actual player from the campaign. The voice on the radio was a character named Sergeant Eros. Him, the sheriff, and a doctor that was completely cut out were part of this arc in the campaign but they were written out. Percy and Zora’s epithets are different from the campaign.

I always took Ramsay's stats to mean he was creative enough with his power to make it seem like he was more strong and skilled than he appeared.

My running theory for percy's stamina is just her god awful diet and that's half the reason I think she and ramsey should live together so she has to eat actual food (the other half is buddy cop romcom shenanigans)

Also, about the word leeway thing, in the original tabletop streams, zora's epithet had so little to do with the word, that it was actually changed to a more fitting word in epithet erased.

fun fact: when I first saw the opening and didn't know who all the characters were, I thought Percy and Zora were boys (and that Zora was a good guy) and that Ramsey would be some pathetic pickpocket loser villain and not actually a smart and likeable dude

Oh yeah, epithets can be super scary when enough thought is put into them. My epithet, double, gave me an idea to “double” the amount of space between my feet and the floor to close the distance between me and others. Or double the space between me and others to push them away. Or even double how long it takes for them to do something, or double how fast I can do something.

I've not watched the original campaign, but I feel like Percy could expand on her powers with even more creativity. Wizard's towers can shoot lightning. Apothecary's heal you. Forge's increase your defense. Perhaps a chapel or mage's tower could restore stamina. Maybe an astronomers tower could be used to grant precognizance.

You do have a lot of leeway with the definition of the word but you don't automatically get powers as soon as you think of them. You have to develop them as your proficiency grows and it's really a matter of preference whether you want to focus on one definition or branch out into multiple ones. Neither route is inherently better since trying to focus on multiple definitions might just result in you having a lot of weaker abilities. Personally I'm pretty confident that if the story continues long enough that Giovanni will eventually develop an ability based on the phrase "soup up". Not only would this give him a potentially powerful ability it would also work thematically since it's the opposite of Molly's dumb down abilities. Also the black stars are the real ones in Ramsey's stat sheet. Actually all the stat sheets use black stars not gold ones. The joke is that Ramsey forged the gold stars onto his stat sheet. Also I don't think it's possible to have a stat be lower than 1 star. Mira had 1 stamina and Indus had 1 creativity so I feel like 1 is the lowest you can get.
