This was an awesome demo, thanks for that! It really shows the sounds of the bass, straight to the point. I wish Fender would revive this, it's a really unique, beautiful bass with awesome sounds that shows what they could do if not everybody would demand the same old stuff. Don't get me wrong, I love vintage instruments, but Fender only remixing designs from decades ago gets a bit boring at times. This one is a true Fender, it has that vibe, but it was finally something new. I'd get one if I could, but they're pretty hard to find...

Thanks for posting this man! In way I’m sort of glad these didn’t catch on, I was able to get a great price.

si queres un jazz bass, tenes un jazz bass, si queres un musicman , tenes un musicman... si queres un Ibanez, tenes un ibanez... tenes 3 bajos en uno con miles de configuraciones... vale la pena

I don’t know why Fender quit making them. I loved the first one I bought so much I decided to buy a second one.

It's probably because it was too much of a Stingray copy, but that's just speculation. Music Man discontinued their Caprice and Cutlass models (which were their takes on the passive Fender-esque vibe) around the same time, so it's safe to assume they discontinued them for similar reasons.

@@ronbarzilai5705 thanks for the information. I had never seen a Caprice or Cutlass. I do however own one of the older Sting Rays from back before Ernie Ball bought Musicman.

As opposed to the other finishes, the black one was made of alder.
