I love how you play the same part over and over while you show the different eq settings. That makes it so easy to compare settings. Great job . I own a dimension deluxe 5 HH and I love my bass

I got the squier dimension bass IV for 3 years now and love it , I even used it for some recordings

So glad to see this video! I always wonder if I made a mistake buying my dimension iv a few years back. It was my first Fender bass purchase. Then shortly after buying it, seeing that they had discontinued it, I was definitely bummed! But I love it. Gets great tone, love the weight of the body and the feel of the fret board. So, it's great to see others feel the same and that I made a wise decision. Thanks and cheers!

Thanks for the close ups of the grain. I think Squier Fender should make this bass again. I can see why it is good for an experienced bass person like yourself. But, it might be too advanced for a regular cheers subscriber. Lost in knobs. Yes

I have the 5 string MIM. Absolutely lovely to play, and an amazing aray of tonal configurations. I disagree with the neck profile though, it's definitely a Jazz Bass neck, NOT a P-bass. Shame I never got to play the American version.

I had both the MIM and American Deluxe Dimension bass at the same time. The American was returned. I prefer the MIM neck because it’s much slimmer front to back at the nut.

I have two of these in the American Deluxe model. One rosewood (Cayenne) and one maple fretboard (Black). IMHO, better than a Stingray. Terrific asymmetrical neck.

I found one of these basses, bought it, but it came without the electronics. Do you have any idea of a preamp that works or adapts to it, without making any dramatic adjustments?...I write from Costa Rica, and here is very hard to find parts for this bass, the dealer store from Fender , doesn´t have.

Mr. chees. Can you also consider an more affordable electric bass guitar? Maybe SX brand or artist brand. Or middle level like Yamaha brand or Cortt brand? Thanks, viewer

At the back there are two 9v battery cartridges. Open it up using the tabs, then pull out the cartridge. I hope that helps

The one I demo'd long ago sounded nowhere nearly this good! Perhaps this bass got killed because people demo'd ones that were poorly setup, or maybe there were cheaper less good versions that ended up being players first experience with them. If I remembered them sounding this good I probably would have gotten one

I have the Squier version in a five string, and it’s like a ‘Ray with a Jazz humbucker in the bridge position. It won’t give you that P bass bark, but it does classic tones just fine, if you roll off the lows and bump the mids up a little. Modern sounds? It was MADE for the 21st century! It sounds like a bass costing four figures, and plays better than nearly ANY other bass if it’s set up just right. I’m not exaggerating; ease of use is a big point with me, as my hands are rather oafish and “hamfisted”).
