This is the Fender Mustang LT25 guitar amp. I'll go over the features of this little practice amp, show you how many different sounds you can get out of it. If you're looking for a smaller amp for someone new, this one comes loaded with a TONNE of features you'll want to check out.

Thanks so much for explaining this great little amp. I got mine three months ago, didn't have any info in the box it came in so I've been finding out what it can do pretty much by myself ( I'm 56yrs old just picked up learning again ) your video has been a great help x

I couldnt agree more!👍 I took up playing guitar 4 years ago as i was approaching the ripe old age of 60. The electric guitar package came with its own little basic amp. After a while, i wanted to experiment. So i bought the Fender Mustang LT25. One of the best expenditures i have ever invested in!👍😁 Purchased the footswitch after a few months and i have now been using this amp on a regular basis. Normally 3-4 sessions a week. Highly recommended for any beginners.👍👍👍🤜🤜🤜

This is the best review for these amps that I've seen on you tube,. Especially from someone who professes to not being much of a musician. Good job. I'm planning on getting the Rumble 25 LT (the bass amp version of this) in the near future. Thanks for sharing. ps. That was a very passable Nirvana riff.

Keep in mind that if the store doesn't have the specific Fender switch I showed, another brand could work as well. My son has the same amp but for bass, and he got another brand of switch and it worked fine. Was around $30.

Great job on this video! You clearly explained and demonstrated how it sounds and how to set up all the features it offers. It’s a great amp and anyone looking for a comparable practice amp from Orange, Blackstar, Marshall, etc. needs to check this one out. Due to its price, sound, features and size it definitely should be considered. Thank you for a job well done

Honestly , this Amp is absolutely fantastic for practice. Itactually sounds awesome and better than some of the slightly more expensive amp.. it's actually pretty loud and beefy on its own. Easy-to-use , intuitive. Has enough effects to satisfy many styles of playing. It's super fun and affordable . My favorite is using a strat with a wah and ocd OD on top of punk skate ( add some reverb and echo delay)

Am trying to decide between the LT 25 and the 50. Is there a big enough difference in sound/quality/features to justify the extra 150 for the 50? Can the 25 be heard if trying to play live with drums/bass? Thanks!

I think the electronics are identical on the two, you're just getting more volume basically. If I were performing I'd go 50 amp, if you're just playing with guys in a room, the 25 might be enough...depends how loud your friends are. :) But sound and features are otherwise identical on the two sizes. For me, it was just price point. My son plays bass and I can keep up with his 40 amp if he doesn't go crazy.

Yeah, I'm pretty sure there's an iPhone version available wherever you get your apps from. Search for "Fender Tone" and it should come up.

Hello Jeffery - although a couple of years have passed by since you made this video, it is still very useful. You are a similar type of player to me from what I could tell! Yours is the first video I have seen that features a quick and simple demo of how to use the foot switch which is really helpful. I actually understood what you were telling me! Looks ideal for my purposes. I wondered if you could tell me what sort of weight the L25 is? I keep my gear in one room and move it to another out the back when I want to play, so if this amp isn't too heavy that'd be ideal. I've also seen people mention that you can dial the volume down with the Master without losing any real quality in the tone coming out of the amp - what's your opinion on that? Anyway, sorry to bombard you with Qs, I don't mean to be a pain, but any info you can share would be very gratefully received! Appreciated the video - great stuff. All the best from me in the UK. I haven't weighed it, but I'd say its not hard to move around at all. Maybe 10 lbs? Next day off I have I'll go weigh it; if you don't hear from me, it was around 10 lbs. Sound quality to my un-trained ears was good at any volume level I've played at so far. I wouldn't say lowering the master volume took away anything from the quality of the sound. Hi there...........I have this Amp..............What would you suggest to drive the 30 pre set sounds that are in this amp..........A Fender Telecaster with the 2 Single Coils......Or the Fender Telecaster with the 2 Humbuckers.......I want to know what pickups would make those 30 pre set pedals sound the cleanest...........Thanks

When I try to plug my guitar into the amp nothing happens, when I go to the tuner part and try and play it doesn’t make any noise or show on the little screen, is there something wrong with my cable ?

Hard for me to say, but it could be. If the amp didn't respond at all to the tuning...your volume on the guitar itself is up all the way?

Absolutely. I just showed the use of the Fender foot switch, but you can also put regular pedals in between your guitar and the input jack, just like any other amp.

My pedal/amp only lets me switch between 1 and 2… cant switch to channels like this. Any tips?

Hmmm...did you go into the menu on the amp itself first? Because that's where you pick which 2 you want to switch between. I think 1 and 2 are default settings, so maybe you just haven't set up the choices in the menu?

so the fender app is where you can upload more pre-sets? Or is there different apps you can use to upload other pre-sets?

Its possible there may be other places to get more pre-sets, but there are like 70 or so extra presets on the Fender Tone app you can load into your amp, and also you can make your own and save it to your amp as a new pre-set. So they give you a lot to start with. *There are only about 60 spots available on your amp, so you have to pick and choose a bit, but really, its pretty good to have that much choice on a little amp!

do you know if thats the only foot switch that works with the amp, and also, is 2 presets the max it can switch between even if i were to use a different foot switch(if even possible)?

My son has the bass equivalent of this amp and the store did not have any Fender foot switches in stock, so we tried another brand they had and it worked fine. I think any footswitch would likely work. BUT....because the menu options on the amp only allow you to pick 2 presets, I'm guessing that even if you had more buttons on the footswitch, it would still only let you go between the two presets you've selected on the menu.

I don't know for certain, but I suspect that it would work, but I'm not sure if the amp itself has enough features to make good use of such a pedal. Just looking online the GTX7 has controls for recording and tempo, etc. This amp doesn't have that built in so maybe that switch is a bit overkill? But it'd probably do the basics. But the single switch I show here sells for about $22, and the GTX7 is closer to $140. Pick your poison I guess.

I've seen other styles and brands used as well. Fender makes multi-button pedals as well, but with this amp I've only experimented with the single button one. My son has a similar fender and he bought another brand of pedal and it still worked fine. (The one I show was only like $22 though! :)

It's not a bad product and honestly if you're a beginner it gives you plenty of practice but personally I sent mine back after a few days I was refunded and I ended up taking a Spark mini and Bias FX2 from the same brand The sound of the speaker is not the best but it is so much more complete than the mustang. For someone who is just starting out I would recommend a spark mini, it's more than enough unless you play live or you are a tone nerd and can’t live without your tube

@@Cordero-g7v you type « spark mini positive grid « and take the first answer It's much better than the mustang I had to send back You can't post links in general on KZfaq commentary because of spam The speaker is a bit worse, but the app is much more intuitive and you don't have to use a computer, and on top of that you have a lot more choice in terms of tones And you can even choose tones that are already created thanks to the community, the possibilities are unlimited With the mustang it's different, you already have to go through the computer and on top of that it's much less intuitive and you have less choice in terms of amps, pedals etc.
