People just love to rag on a Blues Jr. If you can actually PLAY, are gigging it, and know how to set your knobs it's AWESOME!

I´am quite sick of endless discussions about mods which makes Blues Junior etc amps better. If you do not like the sound in stock, change the speaker. If that does not help, sell the amp and buy something which suites you better. In the meanwhile you can study and practise your playing and find the "guilty spot" there. Here Nikolay shows a perfect example that skillful player is needed to achieve great sound. Its about the dynamics in the fingers and in all and all the technical variations and skills in both playing hands. Not so much about the amp, stompboxes or any other mods at anything. World class a great professional player, like Nikolay is, can get a good sound no matter what gear he is using. Great video, great sound and playing Nikolay!

I watch not because I am interested in the amp...although I do think it is a good amp. I watch because this guy could make an empty can strung up with strings made out of goat skin sound great! Nice job!!

People missed the boat on these the mk1 green boards sound great much darker amp not a bright & thin as the MIM versions that followed.

Agreed- except sometimes the reverb gets noisy on them

Fantastic tone and of course amazing guitar playing. My Blues Junior doesn't sound nearly as good as this one.

The made in U. S. A. edition is a very good amp, Mexican is more muddy and boxy sound

How do you like it and is the speaker hard wired or have a jack? I'm looking at one myself. THX!

@@alexc2680 it has a jack- it’s fabulous, I just remember if I want “that Fender Sparkle” I turn the treble way up- between 9-12, depending on pickups… it’s a very warm/dark amp if you set the EQ in the middle, around 6 on the dial. In this video, it looks like the EQ is treble 10, later 11, later 12. bass 4, middle 2.5. Or so. Reverb is up on 8 or so. Volume on 7-8, master on 3. I definitely dig the tones!

Fantastic playing !!! I'm thinking of getting this Guthrie trapp od and a T-Rex mud honey 2 as my only drives Laney cub supertop and the plethora X3 Should be a good rig 🤔
