I am not trying yo victimize the victims on this channel at all but I have heard the narrative of "doing what other kids her age are doing" so many times as a way to justify the young kidd experimenting with drugs. Perhaps if we are willing to be honest enough and realize its not what kids their age should be doing and spread that message louder we will save more lives.

I agree. That concept of “Kids will be kids and experiment” is dangerous and shouldn’t be used as an excuse.

I’m going through something similar. My brother overdosed on fentanyl 3 days ago and he is in a coma. Please pray he recovers with no brain damage. I also pray we can raise more awareness through this platform and many others to stop these deaths. Sorry for your loss! I also lost my child’s father last August for the same thing. It’s crazy that you can’t even be safe with a Tylenol 3 or Xanax , etc because these drugs are being cut with fentanyl and the person who received the pills would never know.

This is not the 60’s anymore. Everything is laced with Fentanyl these days. It’s cheap and easy to make, spreads out whatever they cut it with. Please teach your young ones!! 😢😢❤❤

I am sitting here watching my 3 year old playing with train toys and so happy and joyful. I can’t imagine raising this beautiful girl into adulthood just to have her taken away by a pill. This is so so sad. I can’t help but cry.

I watch all these videos and they all hurt.. heart goes out to Cheyenne's family. I buried 10 close friends, probably 25 people I knew counting acquaintances. By some miracle I was able to get clean and wouldn't be here without every one of these stories. There not just stories, they're legacies and lessons we all need to learn from. love you all🙏

I randomly found these videos a few months ago. A few weeks later, my cousin passed away from a fentanyl overdose. All of these stories are similar to the way his day went. I'm starting to think I stumbled upon these videos for a reason.

It got bashed into me when I was a kid not to touch prescription meds as my father had it all laying around after a heart transplant. I tried everything else though except needles and I've found alcohol to be one of the worst things legal ever from things I've seen people do just on drink. I've told my kids to never ever touch pills if offered and he can talk to me about anything. I mention these stories to him also. Just want to hug this mumma bear. ❤️🙏🌻

I am looking to this channel from Europe and it seems that also here Fentanyl has arrived in the drug scene. At first my condolences to the mom of Cheyenne and all the moms and families that have lost their children by this horrible drug. What I would like to point out from my view as an European : Do not get used to drug abuse, I mean the drugs prescribed by doctors. Pharmaindustries are very powerful and want to make more and more profit. So they go to the doctors who prescribe too often legal drugs to their patients , this has to be checked out. Also the people themselves should understand that they should not easily take pills for everything. For example, my son 22 years old, had a kind of burn out in 2021 during last year of college. First option from the doctor was : you can take pills but second option was to go to a psychological doctor (sorry I don't know the exact English word). Since 1 year and a half he goes once a week, established a good relationship and this doctor helps him a lot with anxiety and depression phases without pills. Pills should be used only when it comes to serious mental illness. I think also this message should be included in the information campaigns. A big hug to the mother of Cheyenne and all other moms suffering.

If you even have the tiniest suspicion that one of your kids is headed in this direction, don't make excuses, don't talk about what a "good kid" they are. They are almost all good kids. Get them help. My brother was drinking and using drugs, and almost killed himself in a motorcycle crash. He was on crutches and couldn't walk without assistance. I helped my mom find a live-in rehab, and we went to pick him up together. She couldn't have done it alone. We drove him to the rehab, and dropped his ass off. He's been sober ever since. Also, you can't always be there if they OD, but every household should have Narcan in it. .

I just lost my nephew Jordan, 34 to an accidental fentanyl overdose on 12.18.22. My thoughts and prayers to you in the loss of your daughter.

I feel like this happens way too often. You do your best to raise your children the best that you can & this can still happen. I have talked to my son constantly about drugs & all I can do is hope that he listens. Nobody is safe anymore because you just don't know what's in street drugs anymore. The best thing is to not do any drugs. It isn't worth you losing your life just to get high.

These stories are heartbreaking, so senseless and preventable. I know of many ppl, I met in passing, that have died of fentynal poisoning. My ex bf passed out in front of me, I administered CPR until I got the Narcan. He survived but the burden of constantly worrying if he will OD was too much to bare. I exited the relationship realizing this was beyond my control. The trauma this causes families and friends is enormous! RIP 💗😥🙏

I hope these substance abusers watch the news and avoid meds they don't know what they really are. Interesting...she had a substance abuse history, went out drinking, went home with a drug dealer to play cards...I'm not surprised with the outcome, saddened, but not surprised.

It hurts so much, but it was heartbreaking 💔 that the laws from Texas do not require law enforcement to take criminal actions against these dam drug dealers that are clearly getting away with murder!! My son too suffered from anxiety and depression and the pandemic made it worse for anyone with a mental disability. We desperately need a change with new laws before more of our families, friends or loved ones and younger kids fall victim to this fentanyl epidemic! 🙏🏻

These stories are so heartbreaking. My son just lost a friend of 25 years to Fentanyl. All these these kids have a common denominator: Depression and anxiety. So many of our youth struggle with this more now than ever. Thank goodness this mother is bringing awareness to this crisis. Everyone needs to keep Narcan on hand .... we never know when we may be able to interve and save a life.

It's so sad. I lost a friend to Fentanyl poising just days after he and I made plans to visit. He was like an uncle to my kids. These stories I know bring awareness but at the same time this one hit close to home for me. I seriously hope that the family is doing okay now.

I'm really sorry for Cheyenne's family and friends. I've watched many of these videos about Fentanyl poisoning and how so many families have lost their Loved ones. One of the most sad aspects which aren't really elaborated on in these videos, is that more often than not, the deceased are discovered by their Close friends and family. It's really horrific to think that no matter how many happy memories they have of their beloved, the last image pf them having Passed Away will be burnt into their hearts, too.

I have recently discovered the fentanyl poisoning series over the past few days. The stories hit very close to home; as we lost my 22 year old nephew, Simon, in April 2023. My daughter was born 5 months ago and these stories are terrifying. I abused quite a few drugs as a teen even though my parents were great and warned me. Something just changes for some teenagers at that age. Like flipping a switch. I hope she has more sense at that age and that I can do everything possible to prevent this.

If she had all that stuff in her system she prob died of a reaction. Doing drugs is NOT a normal thing to do. She sadly was a addict. I don't know how one would of saved her, she was a adult and decided to take these drugs herself, she knew the risks but was seeking that high. As all addicts do they take more and more to reach that high. Sorry for your loss .

I am so sorry for the loss of a young woman and mother. What I truly cannot follow and understand, is the scale of drug use/abuse in the U.S. within so many walks of life.

As gut wrenching as these stories are, they need to be seen. And as sad as it is that I know with 100% certainty these stories will just keep coming and coming, please keep sharing them. The stories need to be seen by any and everyone. I’m coming up on four years of sobriety and I think God every single day but my loved ones are not having to share my story and how they lost me. Those little blue M 30 pills are exactly what I was taking sometimes four or five at a time. I stopped and got help because my children need their mother. My wife needs her wife. But mostly because I need to be here to break the cycle both of my parents were full-fledged addicts I absolutely do not want that life for my sons. Thank you to every single person who has shared their loved ones story and let us all in life altering mode. You’re saving lives.

Addiction is a hard thing to live with, whether you are the addicted or the person who deals with the aftermath everyday. The problem is society is learning at an early stage in life that they can have what they want, without consequences , addiction will tempt anyone. It is no respector race, class, or age. If I have learned anything about addiction is that there is no level of addiction, there is just addiction and trying to replace one thing with another. is just switching the type of addiction. If someone has an alcohol addiction, and they age choose to not drink, but then they start smoking well, all they have is now a smoking addiction. If they smoke and decide that they want to stop that but then decide to start taking pills for anxiety now those become the addiction. You can’t be an addict and have anything chemical or mood changing going in your body. You just can’t. Heartbreaking for this family. For Cheyenne.

One common denominator in all cases is depression and anxiety. I am a mental health professional myself children need to be taught resilience and self-worth. No matter what demons we have to face in life everything at the end works on.

I think when a parent has an addiction , it makes it so much harder to set boundaries with the child. You just don't have that authority. And that's what addicted ppl who have kids need to realize. So I am sorry for the loss, but, mother, it's on you too. Especially since the mother KNEW and just let her do it. She had so many drugs that even without fentanyl she could have died. It's not okay to allow your kid do serious drugs as long as it's not fentanyl!!!!
