Hi Lance, I am about a week behind with your videos at the moment, not used to all this content 👍 This was great to watch and see this wonderful tractor fire back in to life. I think it is your excitement that makes this video so enjoyable to watch. After all the years the excitement and passion for what you do is visible to all. I am looking forward to seeing you split the tea 20 as this is a job I will have coming up soon. Great video 👍

Lance, love your work, love your approach and if after I die I wake up on the floor of your shed I will know that the Great Mechanic of the Universe has smiled on me! Well done lance!! Luck was on ur side. When splitting the tractor, can you make reference to the differences between a mf35 petrol and tea20 for the clutch, rear engine seal and any other seals? Will come in very handy when I tackle the job 🙂 Love ur work mate.

I will for sure as it is almost the same job. I have a clutch job on the gold FE35 coming up when time allows.

I normaly dont komment on any wideo. And my english spelling is not good. But I live just on the opesitte side og the globe, in Denmark. And i follow yor worke with the TEA20, I have pair of them. We are going toword winter hire, so have nice summer. From the north too the South Jens Kresten

Great video, I notice the starter looks new, Have you ever used a REMY 16121 starter on tea20 ? Wondering if it can replace the 25038 or 829803M91 starter?

The starter was a new one as some time earlier I stole the starter from this tractor for another machine. I have not tried a Remy one.

Lance, can you make a video about regulate the carburator in tea20? I still have a problem with perfect mixture

Probably hard to do but I will try. Start with both main jet and mixture screw 1 3/4 turns out from full in and that is usually very close.

Nice seeing it running Lance! I have a TEA20 form 51 that me and my son are getting up and running. It runs and doesn't smoke, so I don't think we will be doing the full engine restauration, but it is leaking a bit from the back of the engine, so we will probably fix that and go on to get the stearing to stop leaking. By the way, is Kelly-dog a Kelpie? I had a black Kelpie as a kid, named Dixie. Not a common dog here in Denmark.

Yes Kelly is a red Kelpie, With the TEA just set the tappets, tune it and enjoy it.

@@BundyBearsShed I have an Aussie now, which is really not an aussie, but a ‘murican dog. I would love to have a Kelpie again. I have never known a more dedicated and alert dog. We will do the tune up and have a blast. Thanks.

I just inherited my Grandfathers 1947 TE20 and have very fond memories of riding around on his lap while he plowed snow and graded gravel driveways with it! Unfortunately his heath has turned for the worst and hasn't had the old girl running in quite some time. I'm a diesel mechanic by trade so for me this tractor should be a fairly simple and straight forward endeavor. However I have limited experience with ignition systems! this tractor has a 12v alternator in it and has a fresh battery, I went over there to try and get it started but doesn't seem to have a spark. What are my best steps to determine issues on the ignition system. Should the battery be hooked up + ground and negative to the starter? looks like it has a regulator on it (white box) and the cap/rotor/coil/wires all look original? should i just replace all the components of the ignition system just to be safe? He hasn't had the old girl running in probably 5-7 years

With an alternator pos earth, check the coil is neg to distributor. Most time it is dirty points ar poor connections .

@@BundyBearsShed so I need to make sure the battery positive terminal is to the chassis? If it was hooked up the other way would it prevent a spark?

Lance I got no spark on a '49 6 volt Tea 20. You connected the negative side of the coil to the distributor. I have positive earth, is the correct way to connect the plus side of the coil to the distributor?

Yes on positive earth the positive side of the coil goes to the distributor and negative is power in to the coil.
