That second safety car came out way too soon after the first one. That screwed the strategy they wanted to go with. But all in all with fastest lap he only drops 2pts. Alonso is doing his bit, Unless Stroll picks his game up Aston will end up 5th again.

Soft tyre strategy is poor. Alonso used hard tyres only 12 laps.. if He went to two pitstop He would be 5th position after the race....

Nope the safety car ruined their race,they only had 1 hard available and 2 new mediums and a soft so they were gonna do a medium-hard-medium stint but the safety car cut the hard stint short and they cant put on another hard on for until the end and if they put the mediums on they will still need to stop for the softs and vice versa,they could've just not pitted on the safety car and kept the hards then pit somewhere near the end but they will be just overtaken by all the cars that stopped and then they still have to pit so🤷‍♂️
