Does Lance Stroll genuinely earn his place in Formula 1? I'm diving into the journey of Lance Stroll, a racer whose path to the pinnacle of car racing was significantly accelerated by his billionaire father's support.
From his early karting days to securing a spot on the F1 grid, I'll examine the investments and decisions that made his career possible. Amidst the debate over 'pay drivers,' I'm taking a closer look at what Stroll brings to the table. Through insights and analysis, I'm tackling the crucial question: Is Lance Stroll there on merit?
Join me as I explore the talent and controversy surrounding one of the sport's most discussed figures.

@@_Tp___ I'm sorry but I have to disagree. He's average at best and frankly when it comes to the premier class that's not good enough. The point of F1 is the best drivers duking it out, some with better machinery of course, but skill is paramount to move to better machinery. Stroll doesn't fit either category, little skill and only moves up in equipment quality thanks to daddy buying him a team to mould around and he still manages to come off second best to a significantly older driver. He needs to retire and take up the tennis dream of his, where he will likely be just as talentless but that's the problem of Wimbledon etc. Let someone with a future take the seat.

So hopefully the driver pool will start to shake up a lil bit. If it doesn't, i don't think the overall feel of F1 will change for us that aren't true die-hards. I enjoy the absolute precision and interesting tactics used and also the general coolfactor of an F1 race being so well shot for viewers! Since the racing doesn't have a ton of action, it's very nice to throw it on, and be able to listen and still know that you didn't miss much visually. Sometimes people need to realize despite all the money and opportunities just having the desire to be among the best and putting the hard work behind it isnt enough to be among the best. Many people put the hours and then complain: "Why I am not better than the best? I even put more hours than them and have the talent? " . The answer is simple: "Its not how long you train, but how smart you train and how you use your time at training". The best have a knack to somehow always be aware what they are lacking in and imidiately switch into improving their weaknesses to turn them into strengths and thats it. To be the best you have to be able to be super honest with yourself what your weaknesses are and imidiately work on them. many people dont do that and this is what separates the best from the very good.

I don't necessarily respect him as a person, granted he is my age and I obviously envy his bloodline, but I don't HATE Lance Stroll. It's a crazy take! He's an alright driver who drives on the level of Magnussen or Zhou. And he's not a bad person, although I won't fogret the physical attack he made on his personal trainor. Naturally, we will always make jokes olabout Stroll and make fun of him for the fact that he is a pay-driver who would have likely lost his F1 seat at Williams had it not been for his dad's enormous wealth. With that said, I don't believe anybody actually "hates" him but I can only speak for myself.

Let's not forget how Valtteri deliberately joined Mercedes, because he wanted to be the Hamilton's pet, instead of a Formula 1 champion. Stroll may have been labelled as "Daddy's cash", but Bottas has less trophies than Harry Kane and is worse than Jolyon Palmer. Drivers like Bottas (purposely joining a team only to make your teammate better than he actually is instead of fighting for the title) and pay drivers DON'T deserve a seat in F1, while drivers like Oliver Bearman, Mick Schumacher, Nicholas Latifi and Bruno Senna definitely deserve a seat in F1.

Pay driver means a Formula 1 driver who underperforms (like crashes in races, eventually earning penalties, causing a chaos, provoking the other drivers to either cause a contact or showing middle finger to them, etcetera) or like Stroll and Mazepin - coming from a very wealthy family and their parents paying their children's way to get the F1 seat among the way. Lauda paid an entrance tax to compete in Formula 1, but the reason why he took a bank loan to pay himself the tax was because of his father's refusal. He didn't approved the Niki Lauda's decision by claiming that Lauda is a name of politicians and businessmen (in other words, Niki Lauda never wanted to be what his father wanted to be - either a politician or businessman, so he joined Formula 1).

It is a given that Lance is just an okay driver and trying his darnest to be at a level of the current greats. The place he occupies in F1 is just fair since to enter F1 you have to have money or talent to be hired. Lance's family does not bankrupt a country or enslave a nation just so he can afford to race. So, it is just fair. He is burning his own money from their various business empires and Lance has skills except he is not a Lewis or Max (yet) or maybe never but whatever he has the money so he races. If I was him, for sure I would do the same and many would want to be in his shoes.

He might've bought his way into F1 but his efforts are evident in races. Understandably, he has the backing of his billionaire dad so his seat is under no threat. But unlike, Maze spin, this guy puts himself out there despite abuses hurled over him and has statistically shown good performance, if not the best. Yes, he has some behavioral problems like a rich spoiled guy, but we have to consider the highly stressful race situations a driver is in. It's not an easy task to maintain your composure during the race and money can never buy that. Money might've helped with his entry into f1, but the place where Lance stands today is more because of his performance and less coz of Lawrence's money.
