One lap around New York;'s Adirondack Mountains in limited edition Ferrari. It's everything a Ferrari should be. Loud, fast, glued in the corners, and total eye candy. And mostly in 4k, and mostly in focus. Plus some Miracle on Ice hockey footage because we went through Lake Placid. Plus three Porsche 911s tossed in for comparisons sake. That ought to rile the fanboys on both sides of the fence.

Fabulous video on my all-time favourite Ferrari. I have a friend who owns this car and this takes me back to when I was driven in it at 10 years old. There's nothing like the 16m with that open-air experience; the scuderia is already an exhilarating car, but this is simply magic. *Thumbs up*

Very nice! One of my dream cars and favourite Ferrari of all time, timeless design; coupe or spider (especially w/ the top down). When I think of Ferrari, F430 is the design that always pops up in my head.

Nope. Though I wouldn't mind having it. It belongs to a friend of mine. The good part is that I get to drive it occasionally, without having to pay for it.

Great video and amazing car! Thanks for sharing! One question though, how come the wheels in the thumbnail and the start of the video are different to the wheels at the end of the video?

MS Aviation....interesting question. I have some knowledge of the history of the car, and early on the owner installed fancy-pants aftermarket wheels. Then I saw what you saw, and what looked like different wheels. The car was going right to left up a hill, and it suddenly looked like 20 spoke wheels and not 10. In fact that's an artifact of a resolution conversion. The particular shot (going deep in the video weeds now, so hang on) is 29.97 HD Interlaced. It was up-converted to UHD (4k) 29.97 progressive. In the process, adjacent fields from the original interlaced video were blended, giving the appearance of 20 spoke wheels. It's an optical illusion based on the failure of your correspondent to de-select the "blend fields" button in Magix Vegas editor during the render process. So long story short. It's the same wheels.

One of the problems with any kind of video of a hot car is that it does not remotely nor adequately convey the sounds and the G-forces. In fact even if you do something radically crazy, it may not viscerally look like much on a screen. Trust me on this. We gave the car the whip a couple of times in this video, and yes on screen it looks pretty tepid. I guess to solve that we need to do some power slides to convince everyone we were doing something "super car" like.
