3 Things i noticed with the brake lines from a mechanical engineer (former SAE / Aston Martin, Caterham and Dunlop Motorsport) 1: the ends of the hard lines are unsupported, this is an issue as vibration will cause the pipe to oscolate and fatigue at the first clamp point. That's why on OEM the fittings pass through a tab so that mass is retained on the body of the car. 2: The dry breaks would need a support bracket as well, as any vibration will fling them around and have them pinging off everything in that area behind the caliper, resulting in damaged lines, dry breaks and the hoses being likely worn out. 3: the lines coming out of the tank at the head of the system, those could use a line spacer clamp (think like HT lead clamps) to help those lines stay put instead of flapping around in free air. Just a few things to consider about that, otherwise the rest of the system looks good.

In my years working in the IMSA paddock I've seen plenty of racecars with quick change breaking systems. All of the suggestions Sf Mason made ring true for me. But the one I would stress is that the dry breaks should be mounted to the hardline, which he also notes, should be secured to the chassis. The hose you had made won't allow the dry break to be secure with enough room for the caliper to move on the steering axle. In short, mount everything to the chassis and run your traditional braided hose to the caliper.

You can also paint a line over where the two parts go together to see if anything ever moved. Factory spec did that all over my '83 Porsche, it's good practice. For aluminum fittings you might need a dab of etching primer. I use One Shot enamel, in green, since the factory mark was done in red.

Hi Hi, power taping works really well in my old job we build robots like that with an drill in the end I drilled on 0.1 mm exact and repeatable without any breaking of taps. My recommendation is a tap for CNC machining I made really good experiences with the once from Garand (blue ring marking). Another Pro, tip put your cordless drill on screwing and set the torque so it barely cuts with that you will just break taps when you bend it by force of your hand. Greetings from Germany

I've always been a big supporter of you singing CAD's praises to the masses (it seriously needs more adoption, even if you get rid of my bias from over a decade of use), so congrats on the sponsorship! If people were on the fence before I definitely think this might help them take the plunge. The more people being able to save time and see just how much a computer program has to offer the better. I got to this party really late, about 3 weeks ago to be precise and I've been binge watching it ever since. I have to say at first (like many others probably) I was upset about the V8 coming out and a 4 banger going in but once I understood the logic and the intended use of the car I'm fine with it. I really admire the quality of the work going into this build even though I've questioned some of the methods from time to time, I love how you show the mistakes.......warts and all, because just like you say that's when you learn the most. And lastly I simply love the whole ethos of the Ferrari build because it's exactly what I did when I built my e9 coupe 15 years ago (I still have it) a stripped out no nonsense no comforts street warrior. Keep it up man.......respect.

A suggestion… mount the dry break fitting in board and behind a P-clip or hose mount so they don’t see flex from suspension or steering motion. It also gives them some protection from moving components. Its an extra step to remove the hose mount before you can remove the calipers but its still easier and quicker than bleeding 👍

Another benefit of CAD is you can plot a 1:1 scaled print of your part to check it fits before having metal cut. This can save you tons of time and money avoiding errors such as the splitter mount. It's still a benefit if you have to split the drawing across several pages and save a single part. Also very easy to do with your parts as they are typically 2D.

You should consider bulkheading the brake lines where the hardline transitions to soft line. That way any stress or moment the soft line sees isn’t transmitted to the hard line, eventually fatiguing the hard line.
