It is!! I still think FWP inks are a little too expensive and the bottles are impractical, but I have to admit that these inks are all gorgeous, so I might need to eat my words a little bit about them being overrated!

Lovely! I was trying to choose my favorite during and after but I simply cannot. I love them all! I am also completing my compliance training videos and just completed four days of summer PD to trade for days off during Thanksgiving week. I use fountain pens at work all the time. I share my colorful Pilot G2 pens with students and colleagues. I keep my fountain pens in a Galen Leather case with notebook and I use a Tomoe River paper (was Hobonichi, but will be Sterling Inks Common Planner for the coming year) planner for dates, appointments, notes, meetings, documentation, and journaling. Since I wear a fountain pen on my lanyard as well, I mostly carry my inexpensive pens at school. Occasionally I will take a special pen to use during my quiet time as a treat. I need to share my planners and pens in a video soon. I’m so excited for your new FWP inks. Thanks for sharing! ❤️🖋

Oh please do make a video about your work/pen setup. At my last job I had no qualms with taking my most expensive pens and even leaving them on my desk when I left my office. But I'm feeling a little more careful at this job, so I'd love to know what you bring and see your setup. I want to see how you carry a FP on your lanyard, too! Thanks so much, Marcy! And, I think I said it, but the inks you sent me will be included with the next Ink Rainbow swatch video!

Re: digital/analog life-I am a graphic designer on my computer all day. When I get home my hobbies are mainly analog-reading (though on a Kindle), watercolor painting, fountain pens/journaling, crochet and knitting, dabbled in cross stitch for a while, urban sketching, painting my nails.

This makes me think of my music education professor telling us that after listening to beginner band music all day, we need to be sure to take a "musical bath" on a regular basis and go to a symphony concert or something to sort of reset our brains. I think it's the same with analog tools - for all of human history, people have made things with their hands, and while digital tools and what we can make with them are obviously incredible, I think it's more important than we even realize to reconnect with the analog world on a regular basis as a sort of "grounding" exercise. I am a crocheter, journaler, and reader, too, and have done my fair share of cross stitching! Sounds like we might be kindred spirits! 🥰

P.S. I did not become a music teacher, but I spent my first three years of college on that trajectory before ending up with a different degree entirely and two complete music minors. lol

lol, I know... I meant to say something about the length in editing. I really felt like I was moving fast! 😂 And even towards the end I said it would be under 25 minutes, which it clearly wasn't. I have zero sense of time. And, thank you so much! I still have some nerves about my new job, but I think it's going to be a good thing!

Yes, I agree.Youtubing is so hard. I make a KZfaq plan and then I do whatever I want. And it's all taking so much longer than anticipated.

Hi there! Yes although I'm a in IT as a Principal technical program manager in cloud infrastructure! I write down almost everything. Even though my job is very much on the computer

p.s. re my comment about placing the Kakimori nib in your little peach dish--what I'm thinking is that you could damage the nib. Those things are expensive. Wish it came with a cover like the Pilot iro-utsushi. Have a great weekend. Keep cool.

p.s. If I'm not mistaken, the future eights employ all facets of the nib, if you know what I mean. Don't think that those other squiggles do. Also, appreciate your correct pronunciation efforts. Agree with you that it's important. Thank you!

You're right, the figure eights give you a little better picture of the nib's capabilities, but truthfully I'm not too worried about that for ink swatching since I'm showing off the ink and not the nib. Really I didn't need squiggles at all, haha! Thank you for your feedback!

@gingerpeachy To belabor the point -- : ) -- writing even for a swatch might illustrate whether the ink is wet/dry. Of course, it's different with all nibs and pens. The variables are exhausting! Today I'm trying to organize my bottles and vials. Talk about fatiguing.... Hope that your weekend has been nice.
