Can also use a butter knife or other flat object to help push the tail into the strap if you're having difficulty shoving in the excess tail end

I just slowly work it through the pad, but yes using a dull object to push it through would work just fine! Once the excess is in the pad you should have no problems with it sliding back out, and if you need to adjust it, it simply pulls right out of the pad!

Every slinger I got the way I set it is fist extend the adjust meant until it is fully out then hold both ends and pull down on my chest. If it goes a little past the end of my rib cage before my stomach I know I got the right adjustment.

Solid method! I have done enough now where I can eyeball it to work without a plate carrier on or with one on, one adjustment and I'm good to go for whatever I'm running!

I know you say you dont really mind the scratches from the aluminum but curious if you ever tried taping the back? I’m worried it would just get gummed up.

Yes actually I have used black duct tape to “soften” the back of the slider and cut down on noise, there are some really good elastic silencers made by some people specifically for the ferro sliders

Have you tried Ferros IWC 2 to 1 Point Triglide? Or the G Hooks they got? Just setting mine up now, don't think I'll ever use single point, but I at least want the option to do it.

No I have not tried that, I was looking into getting the G hooks to mount to my sling so I can fold it up and clip the sling to itself using the G hook!

1" or 1.25" swivels you think? Maybe wider in the back? Are all the mounts rotational? Or If thats an option should I put a rotational mount up front? Sorry for all the questions lol

I use 1.25/1.5 on the buttstock and 1” on the front with anti rotation on both. Don’t like slings wrapping up on themselves but it does come down to personal preference, mine just happens to be anti rotation!

So when purchasing the slingster I need to purchase the QD pieces separately? What other hardware do I need that it doesn’t come with? Thank you for the information. I’ve heard good things about the slingster but want to make sure I’m getting set up properly.

The slingster will come without any mounting parts, so depending on what you have on your rifle you will need to buy HK hooks or QD swivels, I use QD swivels on all of my slings. (QD's are available on Ferro's website as well) The pull tab/slider to adjust the sling comes preinstalled and you won't need to purchase that separately! Thanks for the comment!
