Lol I just put this same fertilizer down on Tuesday with a Scott’s spreader. I found that setting at 4 1/2 to work perfectly on my yard! Look at Chris’s yard I’ve got a similar problem with hills! I do believe I‘ll be making an investment in a better spreader before the summer application!!!

Chris if you read the comments the yard is looking great. I think it must be time to make the yard pop even more with a good cleaning of the sidewalk and driveway.

Was thinking the same thing myself! Last summer was our first and only summer in the house and we didnt quite get to that! I will have it looking right soon enough!

Pete, I like the fact that you mention other youtube stars like Allyn Hane (Lawn Care Nut) on your channel. Both of you have great content. Allyn's synopsis of the Echo spreader was a mixed bag. As he said, there's no perfect spreader. He also used a luggage scale and a bucket to weigh the products to put in the spreader. Your method of eyeballing it work just fine as well. We're all eager to see how the new fert performs in place of the Carbon X products.

Great training video. I got a good belly laugh when you said,”get a sun drop.” I have a shipmate from the Coast Guard that would sail with 6 cases of sun drop. He said it was his escape through a soda. Thank for the help and smiles.

So far so good here. I would buy it again considering both the price point and its features. Are there better spreaders out there?... Sure! But I dont wanna pay $500 to get one! Lol

Great video guys! My yard is almost one acre and I need to purchase a new spreader. Debating on that same Echo RB60 for around $100 or the Lesco 50lb for around $300 I believe. Cant beat the $100 price on the Echo! I used a small hand held spreader all last summer 😆

I use a Lesco for my home and some customers' lawns. It's an awesome spreader, you wouldn't regret buying it if you can afford it for just your home.

Hey Pete -- I was really encouraged when you said you'd work on figuring out some spreader settings for us! I know it must be a ton of work. I have the Scott's Edge Guard and actually don't have anything bad to say about it, lol!

Yeah down here in Florida we don't have them Hills to contend with once I've gotten the amount per square foot I start out low and I just keep walking Till It's Gone keeping track of how many passes and then tried to do the math take that trigger how to be a good thing to do a video for your new stump grinder for the ventrac👍👍

I hit a hole in my yard last year with one of those small tire spreaders. I went down straight over the spreader. Thank goodness no one saw it!

My across the street neighbor so kindly didnt use a edge guard and threw his winterizer all in the road..i took notice couple days later on a evening walk..the wind came and blew it all on my edges🤔🤔😂😂

I’ve been considering a mini fridge for a while for my garage, and out of nowhere last year my wife goes “how would you feel about a beer fridge in the garage?” (which is detached and full of woodworking tools). She was thinking to have extra room when we entertain, I like having cold soda and water out there after yard work! And so,we extra beer lol. I got it off a graduating college kid for like 25 bucks! I feel like there’s irony there.

I’m feeling kind of dumb right now (that’s not out of the ordinary). I put out a 22-0-4 weed and feed on January 4th. I have since read that the weed control doesn’t activate until above 55 degrees. Would the weed and feed have “washed out” since then, 8 weeks ago? I want to jump on the weeds here in central NC as we are about to hit a few consecutive warm days, but I am nervous about putting out more fert and weed control.

What region are you in? Isn't it early for pre-emergent in February? It's now beginning March for me, can I see now and pre-emergent in May or wait to seed again in the fall when I aerate? Thank you

Central NC. I would say yes, I was a bit early with the pre-emergent but I would rather be early than late and I have to plan my apps well around rain since I am not irrigated. 😎 soil temps did hit 55 degrees before I sprayed it down but then we had another cold snap. Next time ill wait till we have a few consistent days of 50 degree soil temps before pulling the trigger. The best time to seed is the fall.

I wish spreader settings were universal. There's no reason to make every spreader different. There's also no reason for a company not to put common settings on their bags.
