Thanks a lot! I have an extra broken cord I'll try to fix based on the information on this video just to have a spare if I lose one while I'm at a site. That'll save me much more than the price of the cord itself!

Thanks for your demonstration which helped me to fix festool‘s constructive flaws. Keeps the industry sales up and drains customers wallet. It isn’t the first or only misdesign. I do believe there is a system behind it. Fix it yourself is the new law at least in the electronic sector. Again thanks

Yep, have several TS 75 saws with 8 damaged cords all have identically same problem, Sadly this is a design used to sell product. Kinda like buying a Rolls-Royce and being charged for a small car for each service. Festool could easily redesign this part with a screw in grip connection to the inner

Had same issue like at 0:20, i just applied hot melt glue into it, and worked, so no disassembly required. Thanks for sharing your solution too!👍

My cord was destroyed by the TS55 itself. Yes, I have cut the cord very close to the special Festool connector. After this disaster, I have provisorily repaired it and also I have ordered a new cord for 25 €. However, I would like to repair the old one. Therefore, your video seems to me like a good way to do it. Thanks for making this video.

Nice job. I’m glad I found your post. Almost didn’t try to fix my cord. I’ll try adding shrink wrap to the equation.

To slip cord through easily use a bit of washing up liquid (not oil or grease lol). I can imagine the amount of tugging on cable, so Use bell wind method for soldering not the way this guy has lapped one cable on top of the other as soldier can fracture more easy especially with vibration. If your limited to space in enclosure/plug. Use heat shrink not tap. I'd personally go 2 thin piece to insulate the single cores and one bigger one to house both wires together. Don't forget to get heat shrink in place before soldering 😁
