Curious to know and hear how exact these holes will be separate from each other in comparison to the Parf Guide System. Did anyone try?
@Toolman93
@Toolman93 4 жыл бұрын
Adriaan Groeneveld The two products are designed for different purposes. The Parf system is intended to be used to create a very accurate 96mm x 96mm grid identical in usage to the Festool MFT system. The LR32 is designed to Quickly and accurately place holes at 32mm increments in known (and easily reproducible) locations in reference to top, bottom and sides of your target workpiece. Having said that, I own (and love) both systems. The Parf system is ideal for creating a new work surface, but would be unbearably slow to try to use in cabinet making. The LR32 is probably just as accurate as the Parf when making a row of holes (and much, much, much faster), but it couldn’t create an similarly accurate grid without some extra tools and setup.

My LR32 system is arriving tomorrow. Figured I’d get a head start and watch so I know what to do when I get it. So excited. I feel better prepared now. Already have the OF 1400 and have been using it. I always go to your videos and Jason’s to get educated. I am super excited to do my shelf pins…. But also my drawers. OMG! Just finished a simple 4 drawer small cabinet for my drill press. Drilling for my drawer guides is the worst. I also can see it will make me enjoying doing the doors more as well .

Love my LR32 system! I use it all the time, yet, I still picked up tips and tricks from this video! I'd love to see a video on using the LR32 system for making a new MFT top with a 20mm bit on the OF1400! I mean, it's a 96mm spacing, so ever third hole, right? Should be simple and easy! Love ya, Sedge! You are the man!

At 44:10 you clamped the 32 up and out to the top to the door panel. Doing so, how do you account for the 2mm reveal since you said earlier that you cut the door to 764mm. Were you suppose to use the 2mm edge banding material between the stop and the top edge of the door? Thanks for your videos. Learning alot.

Another awesome video Sedge. I watched this a year ago, before I purchased the Festool shelf pin system, and now that I have one, I can go back and watch this video again to refresh my memory. Thank you guys/gals for taking the time to do these videos, I know it's not easy. Anyone know where I can get those screwless hinges, can't find them anywhere?

Hey Sedge, great explanation and demonstration of the LR32. I would like to clarify something, given that the door was cut 4mm shorter than the cabinet you had a 2mm spacer which I assume you placed between the door and the end-stop to keep the correct 80mm cup hinge offset, is that correct?

I bought the 1010 and after using the LR32 system I decided to buy a 1400. Now the 1010 is strictly my LR32 router all set up and ready to go. I live having both. I also use 2 DeWalt 20volt smaller units. With those is don't need the 70 for edging.

There have been several video’s that you have been pointing to something or doing an explanation and I can’t see what you are pointing to or it is in a shadow. I apologize for the criticism and as I said I love the video’s and you are all doing a great job. My favorite video each week! Ron

manuj mundhada Not a bad idea. It would be easy enough to make a plate to ride on the LR-32 rail and router plate and make it so the DF 500 or 700 XL is flipped upside down and you could have very accurate placement control of the domino’s....

Sedge. I wonder why festool is professing to use LR32 system the way its shown in video. Why not use full capacity of festool system(MFT/3). I normally attach LR32 rail to mft instead of normal rail. This way you save lot of time. You dont need to move rail and use clamps. Speed is tripled. No need for vacuum sys.

Thanks for the excellent series. Like another comment made, I prefer you in subdued mode. The eye roll and the joke about collecting soda glasses was classic deadpan humour. I was never a fan of Jerry Lewis style of screeching humour, and find it very distracting when you indulge in that style of commentary. You are a class act Brian, and deserving of our respect, so it is with the utmost kindness and consideration that I suggest you give the class clown aspect a rest.
