Today we investigate Feuling's 465 M8 cam upgrade in our 2023 Road Glide shop R&D bike, GoldenRod!

I was thinking the same thing. I want to do the hp+ camchest kit, oil cooled m8 w/ reaper 465 on 23 RGS

Dave, thanka for doing this cam. I had this in my 2017 Streetglide and had been debating on usingnit in my 19 Roadglide Special. Love the cam, it does so much and like fueling states, its an accelerator for sure. Think you helped make my mind up.

Moonshine harley used this cam a lot until george bryce started making their 485. (30/30)

So this Feuling cam basically put out the same numbers as the S&S 475…. Interesting.

There are a handful of cams that work similarly to the 475. I will go over this in a future video. I think at this point it is a personal choice or price point which will help you choose the cam that’s best for you.

Wondering if you check the run-out each time you change out the cams. Curious if it had changed over time. How much punishment can a stock M8 bottom end take?

I will be checking the run out when I take the next cam out. I have checked it a few times and it has not changed from original.

Dave, Will you be testing the S&S 465 cam? I have this cam in my 17’ SGS with the 107!

Unfortunately we did not get to test that cam this round. It is a more low end biased cam that can be timing sensitive due to the increased cylinder pressure it creates

Dave, with your comment..in your opinion is this a decent cam? It’s definitely a torque cam down low.. did I make a bad choice? I’ve had it in for about 4 years and feel like there’s definitely better cams out now for the 107.

Would a cam like this need plate and pump as well? I always see everyone upgrading, but never see any real talks about long term reviews of bolt in cams, if OEM plate and pump are finally good enough. Talking about for a 2020 Road Glide

In the 2020, Harleys newer design corrected many of the issues they previously had. With that said, the updated oil pump and stock cam plate are more than adequate for a cam upgrade. But- do not forget to use the oil pump back plate seal 🦭
