Means that you don't have a Milling Machine. You are just running the Lathe motor to move the tool-post assembly hence the Chuck keeps spinning (This can swing rotate the work-piece rod where you are cutting the key-hole if it gets tight, should have made arrangements to stay fixed just in one position).

Идея правильная но деталь в задней бабке должна закрепляться надёжнее. Центрового отверстия недостаточно.

Деталь стоит, потому что закреплена в подвижных конусах. Шпинделя на приводе чтобы резцовый блок двигался на автомате подачи, у него привод от гитары, синхронизирован с патроном. Ну как замена фрезерному, имеет право на жизнь. Только привод от дрели я бы не рассматривал, лучше шуруповерт на 24 вольта, там момент стабильнен

My first thought when I saw that is, he’s using the power feed for his carriage so the spindle has to be rotating. But I can’t believe the parts not rotating a little bit while he is machining that key without having lock the part.

Really a dumb way of holding a end mill..Why the live center,that make no sense at all. You dont use End Mills with drill chucks ..period . and you could of held your piece in the 3 jaw...REAL GENIUS ALRIGHT...NOT!!
