Depending on the enemy's defense and whether you have prime mode berserk and sonic boom buff active then yes it can do 9999

I love the current Braver but man, I wish it kept the old sound effect and animation. It felt more crispy. One day when I revisit Remake, I'll experience it once more.

The animation is fine with me but the sound effect sounds like something heavy plowing through a heap of debris lol. The older version sounds very much like heavy metal slicing through an object

I actually hate the fact that -aga spells now costs 2 ATBs. There are certain battles where interrupting enemies can only be done with -aga spells and it can be a chore trying to charge 2 ATB bars just to let off an -aga spell. Another beef that I have with Rebirth's combat system is we can no longer set our preferred limit level. You always start out from level 1 and to access higher level you either have to equip accessories that raise limit level or use synergy abilities that raise limit level. I find this stupid and wish they let us set our preferred limit level in part 3. Outside of these gripes, I am happy overall with the combat system though I wish synergy skill is triggered by holding down L1 and R1 rather than just R1 coz there's been many instances where I triggered synergy skills by accident coz of this setup lol

​@@cloudcsI miss arcane Ward and being able to spam aga spells. It does make things challenging but it's hard to get accustomed to. The limit level is ridiculous. Hopefully they address these issues in part 3

I personally prefer the punisher mode for Cloud in remake compared to rebirth.

😂😂😂😂Honestly speaking I just rush in with guns blazing coz I suck at using Barret and Red and I just want the fight to pass quickly so that I can proceed to chapter 4 quickly. My only word of advice is target his body part to fill up his stagger meter and use their synergy ability, Overfang, to raise their limit level

@@fearlesscheshirecat1411 Use Iron defense bro. Synergy skill. And hold it til its done. Time it right and it completely nullifies the lasers. Yes, they are a pain in the ass otherwise. Also, barrier + magnify helps.

Triangle only counters physical melee attack and bound move if equipped with max level precision defense focus materia

I found my strats after several retries and getting my ass kicked lol. The best way to learn is to just charge in and make mistake. You will learn enemy attack pattern that way and formulate your strategy after the fact

@@cloudcs Thanks. I just beat Cloud Vs. The Warriors. Ironclad was giving me trouble, but I managed to beat it. Here was my strategy: Stay somewhat close, so you can circle around whenever he does one of his instant kill attacks. Don't stay too close though, so you can dodge his binding attacks. Perfect block his normal attacks and throw in a Braver every so often just for some damage. Once staggered, I did big damage with finishing touch, but it wasn't quite enough to kill so I did Disorder into Braver.

@@cloudcs Yep, the build worked like a charm. I managed to beat Roche with this strat. I also took copious notes from your Rufus battle. I thought that was going to be the hard wall for me, but I was able to get through it in maybe 6 tries. Easier than Roche, honestly. You're the man! Thanks again.

Interesting you find Rufus easier than Roche. I personally have more trouble with Rufus coz it's so hard to tell what he's going to do. I've been caught out by a surprise unblockable attack when I thought he's gonna shoot me or when I thought he's gonna use unblockable moves he decides to shoot me. Damn SOB

@@cloudcs I guess after getting my ass handed to me so many times by both of them, I can compare who beat my ass harder. Roche takes that title because of the surprise Sinister Slash, and some of his attack sequences seemed so unpredictable. I couldn't consistently parry/Counterstance his moves. Even in the second phase of that battle, he was still killing me. Totally caught me by surprise; I didn't know he fought back! With Rufus, it was more of a matter of "wait, see, counter" for me. Rufus should've definitely been the much tougher match because of Darkstar, but once you pressure Darkstar, it's over for them. It's funny how some people get handled by different bosses, huh? I know Dyne was another sticking point for a lot of people. I took him out easily, but Palmer had my number! Took me several tries to get past him. Couldn't believe it.

In Palmer's case you should stick a big fat sword up his ass when he taunts ya lol😆
