One of the biggest additions to Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth’s combat is the synergy system, comprising both Synergy Skills and Synergy Abilities. Since the rest of FF7 Rebirth’s combat is identical to that of FF7 Remake, it’s easy to just fall into the habit of doing what worked in the first game, but to really excel, you’ll need to know how to use Synergy in Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth. Use ATB per character. When you have used enough ATB for characters with synergy abilities, it will let you know by glowing (similar to limit breaks). Then use the synergy skill whenever during the battle.

The cadence with which you guys at ign “speak in your guides and reviews”, really “throws me off”. You emphasise the same “last words in a sentence”, then pause and “continue”. Leaving me preoccupied with an “arrhytmic impression”, and having forgotten “what you just said”.

For weapon level do u need to equip it for it to level up or they will all gain the same experience?

As you level so do your weapons. That includes the unequipped ones as well.

When there are only two party members in battle, you could press either x or o to use their skill. If the third character is in battle, then that x button is used for the third character.

Its because the sequel is called "X-2" and saying "final fantasy ten two" was dumb. So people have just called it "Ex two" and the original "X" as a shorthand. Hell alot of people shorten it to "Eff Eff Ex" lol.

Everyone crying about X is just desperate to have something to be angry about, something to hage IGN for. I'm sorry, did you find it impossible to determine what game they were talking about when he said X instead of Ten? It'd be a different monster if he did it for a game with more characters, like if he said "Vee Eye Eye Eye" instead of Eight. And it's not like he said it more than once. We're not talking about FFX. Noone told me how bad the visuals in performance mode were. DF did a video on it and after playing it for myself it feels like they really undersold how terrible it is.
