Part of understanding The Simpsons is how extreme of a departure it was from how sircoms were at the time. It went from the overly sweet 80s sitcom to serious critisms and reflections on society at the time. I remember at the time most of my friends weren't allowed to watch it. It was too offensive.

Family Guy was ahead of its time. A lot of gen z humour is random bullshit mixed with shock value which Family Guy popularized.

The very first 3 seasons were really funny. After it came back from being cancelled for like 5 years family guy just got stupid

Ren and Stimpy were definitely geared towards adults. There's a couple episodes, made later after the show was cancelled, called Ren and Stimpy after dark, or some such thing. Very very adult lol

Another problem with Family Guy is how later in life a ton of the jokes are just "references" to other things. They often are either not funny if you don't get the reference or they are lifted almost beat for beat from the original source.

When I do a playthrough like this of a mod I like to just install the single mod so it works as a better showcase for what this mod actually is. If I do a challenge run or something else with the mod in the future, I may combine more mods.
