I like Omnislash too, but Lionheart is definitely way more powerful, and easier to spam. If they had kept that in Dissidia it would pretty much be an instant win for Squall if they get caught in his Ex Break.

It's Griever, on the ending of the game, last dungeon. You got to fight 4 boss straight: Ultimecia, Griever, Ultimecia + Griever and True Ultimecia

This game is probably one of the most underrated games in the Final Fantasy series. Most of the other Final Fantasy games involve tons of hours of grinding, and the actual stories are relatively fast to progress through. But in this game, you don't have to spend hours of levelling and you can progress through the story (which is pretty engaging, and takes a lot more time to get through)

Squall and Irvine's limit breaks were the end-all in the final battle. They kicked so much ass that I had to call for more.

I love the limit breaks in FF 8 but i HATE that you have to be in critical to use them, unless you have aura. The FF7 limit bar was better, but this is still my fav Final Fantasy. Thanks for posting

I agree, I like materia more, but simply because it's more balanced. My squall went from doing 1000 damage when i pull the trigger at the right time, to doing over 7000 damage when i pull the trigger, all in one day. I'm kind of stoked that i'm so strong though =D

@harper16 that is where items, and mag refining abilities come in handy, you dont have to draw as much, its totally worth it to gain a lot of magic early on so you can change it into second level spells soon, it works wonders

Its kinda obvious to me, seeing as most played FF7, and the only final fantasy character I've seen soooo muuch in shops, stores, videos, remakes, mentions in comments, are ALWAYS cloud and Sep. Probably because its being the first 3-d one, and the death shook many : D You cant ignore that cloud is more shown/promoted/ then others it seems. Also theres been a movie about ff7. plus an anime episode with zack. Don't see one with squall.

It's simple actually, but requires attenction: every time you see the gauge goes to the first small box on the left, press "R1" to press the trigger and do a hit ;)

8 Renzokukens+ 19 lionheart slashes=27 hits total max and almost 270k max damage.And you can get on first disc. *spams renzokuken in critical state GG* devastates bosses as well. I dont think Lion Heart is a copy of Omnislash at all for one thing lion heart hits ONE enemy which is perfect for soloing bosses and is insta overkill. Omnislash hits MULTIPLE enemies and is perfect for finishing a multiple enemies fight it does regular damage and doesnt apply to Ultima Weapon properties. both have there ups downs like lion heart is only 25% chance of using and limit bar takes time to charge. Lion Heart vs Omnislash war is just plain stupid in my humble opinion.

The reason why Lionheart is such an awesome Limit Break is not because its just some slashes with pretty effects. First off, Squall needs to be in critical condition to pull off a Limit Break: a do-or-die event. After the Renzokuken burst which deals up to 8 strikes, the game randomly picks which Limit Break to use. IF it happens to be Lionheart, only then do you get to see up to 24 devastating slashes that can deal up to 9999 dmg each, obliterating ALMOST ANY enemy in-game (and saving your arse from defeat).

Lion Heart (End of Heart) hits 18 times. Add the minimum 4 hits from Renzokuken and you can inflict as much as 200,000 points of damage.

16 years later this is still a gem. And while I love the name Lion heart as its Squalls character trait, the name in the German Translation fits better to an attack in my opinion: Herzensbrecher (heartbreaker). (Lion Heart sounds better in English than Heartbreaker. But Herzensbrecher sounds better in German :D)

Yes, many fans love 6 and the rest of the series. However, some fans seem to be split over 7 or 8, for some reason they cannot like both. Those imaginary statistics (lol) were to show the difference of fans liking 7 versus 8, not necessarily the entire series :)

Dude, when I fought against Ultimecia, it only gave me Zell, Selphie and Quistis. Still, I kicked her ass with Zell and my final heaven.

Materia is only superior if you don't know how to configure Junction. Also, you can add juction to each GF by making some custom items. With the right juctions, you can beat any boss as if it was nothing. The Renzokuken itself it's about 10 hits, I think, and the Lionhart... I never managed to count
