Wow they adding "Locus" Mobs with higher hp than apex and higher rewards but cleave resistant sounds exactly like what I was asking for.

@@FFXIMath Exactly what I came to comment about. UGH! I wanted to see HP totals that would allow for multi-step SC and MB to be efficient, with exemplar point rewards to justify the time spent. This would have the additional benefit of making each camp more efficient at handling multiple people because they would be spending more time with each mob. But nooooooo....

Hey FFXI Math. What is the term cleaving referring to? Coming back from a 10 year break and I never heard that term before. 🤔

Basically its where you use AOE ws's or spells(but spells have some issues) to clear many enemies at once. A lot of content now has enemies that take reduced AOE damage specifically to stop us from cleaving everything.

BST would benefit from sub WAR, the fencer trait is great for the job

BST already has a higher tier or fencer than War sub provides so would not gain more from it sadly.

DRG is still a winner, because with /DNC you get cap delay with just 15%DW and enough accuracy with ML40 to use Kraken Club offhand. As much as I don't like the concept of Naegling on every job, with KC offhand on DRG it's just stupidly broken. ~50-85k damage depends on TP with ridiculous TP gain (mostly 2000+ TP with jumps too). It should be even better with upcoming Empy+2 armor.

Ya Drg is still great, its just the builds I like the least that benefitted the most and everyone else got access to Super Jump which is like a job defining ability.

The EP TNL is very comparable to the past where we spent months trying to get to lv75. SE seems to keep catering to an audience that is almost long gone, most of those 75 thumpers are off on private servers. The majority of people (literally 70%+ of the pop) is botting all this for master levels or buying it. They literally handed RMT pure gold lol.

On my server it is not quite that bad as far as botting. We have one very sad CP bot who shouts and often wipes, I've heard stories of him taking over 13 hours to complete a 500 JP job, but I have seen a large increase in other bots quietly sprouting up. The amounts may cater to the private server crowd but I'm not sure they'd like the cleaving strats that have become meta. I kind of feel like no one would want what we have right now lol.

@@FFXIMath the majority of those nostalgia goggles clowns have no idea what they want in reality. They claim to love the 75 era and how "hard" it was, yet they are all on private servers with multiple PLs outside every single exp party... so stupid. You can def team up for these, considering even though you AOE you can all contribute to gain more EP. I really wish they would add hard mobs that give huge bonuses that are worthwhile for doing. Hell, why not add tons to Master Trials so people can have fun with it lol. They keep reskinning old style events and systems trying to appeal to those lame 75 cap thumpers. They aren't who are around anymore, most like the old style of progression but not the exact same systems. With UNM they changed the parameters but gave us the same system of NMs, w/o the annoyance of bots. They gave us Dynamis with tweaks to make it interesting, etc. They then give us the same EXP system with huge numbers and expect people to have the same mindset about it. These days nobody has patience, so they will just bot it, buy it, or ignore it. They should have done more to make it appealing aside from straight grind out of the stone ages.
