The SDS Fenrir mount travels faster in more than just shadowbringer zones. Once you unlock the mount speed increase through quests it will be the same speed.

My Citrine Carbuncle is absolutely my favorite for sentimental reasons involving my daughter.

I would also recommend the Cheer on 3 pack with the play dead emote and the ranger pose pack if you are feeling spicy.

I bought the conference set and have the 3 FFX minions, for me it worked fine and was exciting to see the Fan Fest from home as I went to the first one. My favorite items are the High Summoner outfit and the Yuna minion. I never played FFX but I recognize and like that character design from Kingdome Hearts and it's so cute. That outfit and some other outfits have stat boosts, I don't know if those were added after this video but they help me level alts. I would also pick the panda mount because it's adorable, the crimson lotus emote, and the magic carpet mount. I'm just enjoying all of those. Had no idea the motorcycle was that fast though or that that minion had an adorable mini moogle minion. Definatly going to consider those in the future.

When you get the platinum or gold plan for the wedding do the bride and groom get the minions too? Or just the guests?

My husband and I actually did Eternal Bonding the WEEK it came out. We did the full Platinum version, and while we don't use the rings as often the two person Chocobo was the BEST THING IN THE WORLD then since it was one of only three 2 seater mounts int he game at time of release I think? Also when they first came out the Wedding Chocobo in particular had a glitch that could make your characters bigger for a little bit and we were highly amused by it. Also now with the dress and tux no long being genderlocked I can swap between those pretty easily and it is WONDERFUL! My five items in nor particular order would be The eternal Bonding ceremony, the Mheg Deaca outfit, the Play Dead Emote, the whale mount, and the peacock mount.

My fiancé absolutely adores the fat cat mount. Really got her into the game, actually. I think everybody should give the mogatation a good look since it’s got so many good things on there. Any word on if FFXIV’s Regalia is going on the shop? I really hated gold saucer back then.

There are two posibilities for next expansion in terms of FF references. Or FF VII (beacause of remeake) or FF X (because this is a part of Final Fantasy that was not explore at all in FF XIV, excluding "calm lands" like location in Stromblood). I will be happy to hear a FF X hymn in game.

In no particular order: - Fat Moogle Mount (cruisin' down the street in my sentient swing set) - Yellow Ranger Pose A/B (spam this to enjoy a spicier slap emote) - Dance Emotes (speaks for itself) - White/Black dye (each pot you get here saves you 200-300K in game) - Wind-up Y'shtola (LOOK AT HER!!!!) Honorable mention goes out to Retainer level boosts. If you at one point decide to expand your roster of retainers it's REALLY nice that you don't have to set them out on a thousand and one ventures before they start bringing real useful stuff.

Most favorite for me is the angel wings by far a month back I made the decision of changing from Male cat to Viera for the glam options and I use the wings while I'm a healer it does a really effect when I use the healing wings on whm

The best use of the marriage ring is the Kugane Tower, you both can climb and if someone finishes it, the other can teleport up. Very VERY useful if you hunt the Sightseeing Log and need that stupid lampost! I did it without and it took me ages, atleast i hit the lampost firstime u_u

The eternity ring cooldown is actually only 30 minutes. It's relatively rare that you end up wanting to use it more than once ever 30 minutes.

1. Cheer Waves are fantastic fun. The pack is totally worth the $5. 2. /playdead was gotten solely so I could floortank my DRG at the start of Palace runs, from time to time. 3. Fatter Cat is Bestest Cat (and the mount I use the most). 4. ARR Digital Collector's Edition Upgrade (Fat Chocobo and Coeurl mounts, Wind-Up Moogle and Baby Behemoth minions, Behemoth Barding, and that slightly-useful Helm of Light.) 5. /eureka, especially right before saying or doing something exceedingly daft.

As a lvl 57 smn/sch who has met midgardsomr last night I have to agree with Meoni. If it's your first character who is new to the game I advise on both playing through ARR and paying attention. A lot of introducing and ground-laying work for characters and content is laid during ARR. In my mind I rearranged some of the events so they made more sense, such as Livia showing up after you flew through the howling storm. Or that preparations to summon the bad guy are still being made while you're having your time wasted in Costa Del Sol and Coerthas. And remembering your character is an adventurer, a mercenary being paid by the scion for every menial job you're blackmailed into doing. Simple things but mentally rearranging them a bit made the story better for me. (As I play mostly for the story, world and characters though I'm unfold of all the Scion except perhaps Minfilia, Tataru and Urianger. That being said I'll never fantasia my Adventurer because I made her a distinct character. It's the use of retainers that I explore other personalities through.) Finally this is actually a trick I learnt from games like Morrowind, Oblivion, Skyrim, ESO, Fallout 3, New Vegas, 4 and even 76. Plus the dragon age games and whatnot... Enjoy your time as the unknown newcomer novice with no reputation and little money. The time of the game where you earn a fair coin for simple work. Rootless where your home is the camp or Inn or even mooched bed for the night. Where almost every road leads to a new unknown. It's a unique status in the game that you're very unlikely to experience again later. Some of my fondest memories of Oblivion was saving up enough gold at around lvl 18 or so to afford not only the waterside imperial shack but to furnish it in one go. (My friend much further into the game told me about furnishing and how much I'd need total. He was great at telling me what I needed without spoiling me.) I remember the feeling of stepping into my fully furnished shack and feeling so happy and satisfied. This was mine. My spot. My safe space. I stored the ton of stuff I'd been lugging around by container and catagory then had Lorei sit near the fire and eat, then had her sleep in the bed so she'd level up and could go to the Arcane University in the morning. So... where was I? Oh yeah enjoy being the newcomer nobody while it lasts. Before you know it you're the Emperor's Blade, or The General of the Minutemen or the Warrior of Light. That being said if you do roll a second character as I did with an Elezen drg I can't blame you for buying a skip. I would have done but the MQ gives you a lot of easy exp and the level skip goes to 70 and skips all the job quests- the very point I'm playing dragoon for. Ah well with my headcanon edits it's not bad at all.

Agree with you on Fenrir as it's useful to have that extra kick of speed when travelling. As far as aesthetics go i have gotten quite a bit of use from Sleipnir, Odin's own mount of choice. It looks good with most glass and doesn't break immersion too much. In terms of glass I found the female far Eastern dresses to have a lot of different uses.

I think my list looks something like: 5: Nezha mount 4: Shantotto minion 3: Playdead Emote 2: Whale mount 1: Eastern Socilite's Attire. Also Pretty sure everyone (mine inclued) would have Fantasias at Tier 0.

The only item I often get from the mog station is the white dye. Which is absurd that they put dyes in the cash shop tbh. I avoid cash items at any cost on any games. Since I already pay monthly sub spending more money for the items would just make me gonna cry.

the story skip i wont recommend to new players i would only recomend it for an alt caracter like you said the strory is indeed worth it. i personally would have picked the eastern lord/ lady sets for starters cause they have the set bonus with out needing a head piece giving space to equip the friend ship circlet for those who have it for a bit of extra exp bonus below lvl 25. but yeah for those who don't have it any glamour set with the set bonus would still be a good option.(some say it might be pay to win but meh i think it doesn't impact the game so much since there multiple ways of increasing exp gain and the set bonus only works if your lvl 30 and below.) heck i still use the set for when i get the first 3 dungeons in leveling to squeeze out just that extra bit off exp( yes the bonus does get applied if your synced down). i agree that the sds fenrir mount is a good option that +1 speed is defiantly worth it. eternal bond also 100 precent agree worth it. i dont know wich emote i would recommend most off them are worth wile. i love the play dead emote but the toast one is also a good one. though any 2 seater mount i would also recomend specially if your playing with some one else.

But....you only need rank 2 to purchase the movement speed boosts in ShB, and that's, what, 6 FATEs...? I was considering buying the bike but if it only works in ShB then it's kind of a waste imo.

The dullness of ARR is very exaggerated, and the cooldown for the Eternity Ring is 30 minutes, still a ridiculously long cooldown though.

One my favorite items of the mogstation is the faire tale princess outfit, specifically for the gloves that I love them so much. The dress is good but I don’t like the clipping it does with your character arms.

I always believed dlc and "extra" shops were a good thing to spice up interest and keep cash flowing into the game for content, HOWEVER, when more mogstation purchases just leads to more mogstation items and LESS in game content you have to think which game or who's pockets that extra money is going to, because it's certainly not the content developers.

Breave new Y"shtolas chest piece, her feathery green earrings, demonic gloves, 2B leggings and 2B boots is what I usually wear for my au ra as a dark knight. I call it the dark maiden.

I don't like buying glamours, minions, and emotes that are single character--they should all be account wide. I don't collect mounts, but they should be account wide as well. I buy dances, but again, they should be account wide. Fantasia has to be the best item, bar none.

Am I the only one who completely hates the mogstation being a thing? I think it's a HUGE scam being charged for more retainers AND having a cash shop on paid game. We already buy the game AND pay it monthly, cash shop should not have cosmetics in it, only services like Transfer, Fantasia, name changer... But the greed is real.

Everything in Mogstation is so expensive. Yeah there's the free wedding, but I'm not gonna marry some rando to get a glam. I can't see that ending well. Anyway, it kind of sucks to see all this cool glamour/mounts/minions/etc. that I can't get because I don't have the disposable income for it beyond the monthly fee.

Gotta say Meoni, while I generally agree about the story skips and level boosts in MMO's, personally, I tried to play FFXIV no less than 6 times, quit every time and never got past level 30, with most times getting fed up before level 20. Skipped up to a story that looked engaging (Shadowbringers), and boosted to a class I was actually interested in playing (DRK) and boom, love the game, been playing nearly 4 months now. All that is to say, don't be so quick to judge those of us that used those things.

MTX in this game is BS. Full price base game. Full price expansion. Monthly subscriptions. They're making like $15 million dollars a month, if nor more, just from subscriptions. They don't need more money to continue development, they just want it, and everyone is so blinded by shittier MTX practices that just because these aren't as shitty, that it's okay. Hogwash.

I can't tell you how much my immersion is broken when I'm sitting there fishing in my high fantasy world with monsters and wizards. Only to see some player ride by on a motorcycle followed by a dude in a large luxury convertible. Stop it.

Cash Shop in a Subscription based game is pathetic, only idiots pay extra money if the game is already sub based.
