Definitely the knot I use, but I always tie it at home on my deck before I go fishing 🎣🙌👍 great finish and sometimes I just use 4 half hitches to finish , this certainly is the best finish for the FG 👍👍👍👍

Thanks for the tutorial mate. I learned how to do fg now. Instead of wrapping the line around my finger I tie it to a chair and had my 10 fingers free. To add to the tension I puched the chair from time to time

Yes, i use this kind of method too. Its stronger than normal method. Finish with rizzuto, looks beautiful and neat.

The uniknot to finish this knot should be done only on the braid itself. First 2 to 4 half hitches to keep flouro and braid together, then snip fluoro tag end, then uni knot braid on braid

I prefer the improved Albright over this. You could tie 3 of those in the time it takes to tie one of these. It's strong enough that if you ever break it, you should have been using heavier line anyway.

I prefer the PR Bobbin with rizzuto finish. I tie the at home before I go. Then improved Albright in the field if needed. As they are so fast to tie.

What are the advantages of this knot compared to the double uni?

I ordered this to net the algae in a large pond in our backyard. kzfaq.infoUgkxphFK7ETiDP5G4IGsNcg7vbASDp_YfDpI The net is very sturdy and easy to maneuver in the water. The angled edges make it easier to get into the smaller spaces among the rocks. I didn't realize that the front of the net doesn't actually have a frame to it, just the sides do, but it seems to work just fine. The handle extends to various sizes, which is a great feature when I'm in areas that are tight with shrubs at the edges of the pond. I can collapse the handle so it doesn't get stuck in the bushes.

If I'm bored or prepping my gear the night before going out then I would consider this knot, but realistically while on a boat and my line gets cut or find a nick in my line, I'm going with a double uni, so I can get back to fishing within the next 3 minutes. The FG knot is good but the time it takes to do it is unrealistic IMO.

The Alberto knot is better in every way…
