She's hilariously strong as a support for Servants who were strong against her in the Tunguska Sanctuary Event and had event bonuses. For Nikitich, she lets her 'father' get the benefits of having increased Buster power and Crit chances. For Ibuki, she gives her NP charge and more buffs. She's strong with both Barghest and Melusine (3rd Ascension) as their both Buster Gorillas who love Buster spamming but they would love free NP batteries. Want to know something better that's funny? Koyanskaya of Dark as a Beast candidate loves humanity but hates humans weapons, including guns. Her Light counterpart who's also half of the same original entity and thus a Beast candidate by nature yet can't be one due to her lacking the compassion for them, hates humanity but loves human weapons, mostly guns. Both the Dark and Light counterparts have absurd synergy with each other thanks to NP batteries, cooldown buffs and Buster/Star Bomb explosions.

I want her because of her NP voicelines :)) I dont even have great allies for her, i just want the NP voiceline

I want to get Koyanskaya of Darkness mainly cause she uses most of the Lostbelt enemies on her opponents and her Valentine scene she's pretty much your secretary, and how could we forget the NFF amusement park, that'll be fun.

Crazy, literally just pulled her in 60 SQ after my GSSR. What a night, that’s Skadi, Melusine, Koyanskaya back to back to back. Infact both Skadi and Melusine I managed to get NP2 with next to no SQ spent. Wild luck

I think it's because of how you described her that would lead lasengle to make Kukulan without a doubt the best foreigner in the game while I don't know what that says in the grand scheme of things when it comes to fgo since foreigners have always struggled to keep up with the other classes even rulers where the only main niche is they have resistances against berserkers and pretenders. She definitely brings the pain when you invest in her but yeah due to her class she won't reach the insane high end(although that's also a bit unnecessary given you don't really need that high end damage that often. Especially if you're just farming. So I think she's was a step in the right direction for foreigners and Kukulan unfortunately ended up doing everything a lot better from what I understand with probably with some of the most broken mechanics to boot. So yeah. I say she is worth having if you need more options but also interesting to have seeing as how far as fgo is concerned nearly all the best class bosses we faced have all become summonable and she is the third of the foreign gods alter egos we've taken with us to our side though I don't know how or why kirei became an anniversary servant since I haven't seen anyone talk about him or what he's been up to in the story. lol Sorry this went on longer than it needed to cause once I start on saying something my kind starts jumping to the next thing lol

She serves the really good purpose of being a secondary DPS for when the harder quests come out that you cant solo with a single dps (for example you need aoe and st servants)

Have her on JP and she's pretty insane at np1. Ive been surprised a couple of times by her face cards particularly, girl hits hard

It's too bad that she got powercrept HARD by Kukulkan, who will debut next year. I just don't think Dark Koyan is that necessary to pull, Light Koyan is FAR MORE important and necessary due to the Buster Looping/Reloading that she enables and provides. I'm pulling for Kukulkan when she shows up.

A bit sad that she came out before Kukulkan, especially for NA players might likely to skip her for next year

Her party wide 30% NP Charge is nice to have for farming. Also got 3 other big reasons for pulling her 🙂.

DUDE I got Rider spooked on the 2nd multi and some how got the new 5 star rider Tai Gong Wang and the New Koyanskaya of darkness both on the same Multi. What Luck!!!! Now i can save for the new meta units. However i didn't get Merlin on the Gssr and got Skadi NP2.

I only have/want Koyan dark because she's the only servant I know that will utilize DoT Command Codes to its max potential. Stacked with her kit, she can easily dish out 20k+ DoTs to her enemies which is basically like an additional buster hit.

So I need to level with y'all about what happened on my Buster-focused account these last few days because this would have done numbers if I was a streamer. TL;DR - got 5 SSRs on back-to back banners still within pity range. Started out pretty normal - after hitting pity for the first time ever on Mélusine's banner (with only an Okki spook at around 800 SQ) I decided to wait till the Christmas one to try to get her to NP because at least then I'd have the safety-net of another pity pull. Saved up 540-ish SQ and got her to NP2 after pulling out my wallet, getting spooked by my 3rd copy of OG Artoria, a total of 23 multies not counting the tickets, and of course getting literally NP17 Percival between the 2 Meluko banners (when I already had NP3 Lambda and NP2 Vritra). Then about 2 days before her banner goes away I try to check for the upcoming banners on 2024 to make a savings plan. I know that Beast Umu has only been available on her introduction banner and on exactly 1 of the 3 GSSRs that have happened on JP since her release and that one would have had the worst odds of getting Draco specifically (1-in-9, compared to the usual 1-in-6 on most GSSRs) and it cost 30 paid quartz instead of 15. Like the massive simp that I am, I fully intended to NP5 her and noticed that probably the only banner I wanted to roll this account in the coming year was Maou Nobu's around September - as you may have noticed I am somewhat of a demon lord collector. I decide, aight lets yolo and see if I can get a 3rd copy of Smol-celot and she showed up 2 multies later - where was this appearance rate last banner you tiny shit! New years hits and in come the GSSR banners. Roll on the buster NP Extra class 2 banner because there is exactly one servant I don't want there - Amakusa because I already have him at NP2 on my other account. Low and behold I get Maou Nobu crossing out my 1 target for 2024. I realize I still had 20 ticket and 46 non-paid SQ on the acc and that I functionally have a year and half of events to save up for my Girl and decided to take a crack at the Ko-yami banner since my only AoE foreigner on this account was Idol X Alter. And after spending a lot of my stocked up 4* Embers on Maou Nobu, Ko-yami shows up after the tickets and 1 multi. Bruh... Is this what it feels like to be Gudao when Astolfo, Mash, Salter and Medb all tell him they're "running low on mana" on the same day.

Dude I almost give up on her after 220 SQ wasted, Glad that I didn't give up since she came when all hope is lost.

My priority was koyan of light (I had saved for her) and I got her withing 90sq. That left me with enough SQ to try and summon on koyan dark. Now I have both and I love her! I also have Van gogh, so she's a perfect fit in my chaldea.

Correction on the 2nd skill: the attack and def buff are aoe so u don't have to target her, the only targettable part in it is the overcharge and stars on buster you can use it on any of the servants and all the ones that have animal traits will get the attack and def an example where this works is multi core (i assume one of the niche teams u meant) where if u use light's skill on herself u get 50% and +60% from both dark 1st skill but if u overcharge her with one of them her np will recharge 20% for everyone meaning both koyan darks are now at 80%, so if you append 2 both darks u can potentially use black grail (or more likely, an event damage ce) on all 3 without relying on mc or ce charge which is also very nice if u have a friend with a higher investment koyan dark

Given that Arcueid, Lady Avalon, Summer Ibuki and Ruler Skadi are all coming out this year, and Kukulkan basically outperforms her in every way, I'd rather save my quartz for them instead.

Koyan dark demands too much resources from other 5* support servants. I would still roll for her but would not regret no having her.

It's an interesting approach they took with her in comparison to the "light" side. There are some cool elements there and the design is definitely good. Can really shine if supported nicely. I'll probably pass since I don't love her character that much. Could probably make solid use of her with the roster I have. But it's not quite a need or love pick. Just a "be nice to have" one. On a side note...did we end up missing out on one of these for Okuni?

I rolled her NP2 simply because i think she's cool, i didn't need her at all i already have more than enough buster farmers. I would discribe her like this: she's a solid farmer and good servant overall, but you dont miss out on anything if you dont have her. She isn't as account defining as say her light counterpart for example

Well Ibuki-Douji is my favorite character and she looks like she’d make a great buffing partner for her so I think that’s great. She looks like a great option to bring instead of Oberon if I need to roll face card damage instead of NP looking with Oberon. That being said she just looks fun. So I’ll definitely have to stretch her legs and let’s see what she can do

I got 0 quartz and tickets since I went all out to get NP2 Melusine. I was not planning to get Dark Koyan at all. until I randomly waste 3 tickets from the shop where I got Nikitich, Bodisativa CE, AND the fox lady herself. Thank you lasagna for the new year rewards.

Would also like to add that Koyan Dark's raw damage potential as well as its nifty 30% NP charge to the party does open the possibility for flexibility when it comes to multi-core setups to those willing to explore it. Plus, her damage over time potential has some niche uses, but can be used as clutch for certain fights as necessary. She definitely needs the investment, but if one's willing to go all the way, she can help future-proof accounts (even if a certain Foreigner will be making her debut next year, also a solid pick)

She really seems to like me. Did 60 pulls and she's already Np3. The last time I had this luck was with Oberon. Took 160 pulls to Np3 him. I wasn't even going for him and was focusing on Baobhan Sith. Didn't even get her. Really crazy. My f2p luck sure has been high since 2023. I guess its making up for my luck back in 2022 where I took a break from the game because of the sad pulls I had.

Used Tamamo all day and pulled koyan dark on a random luck sack pull

I think S- is being pretty generous. She's a buster looper, but she needs at minimum a 50% NP gauge CE (Edit: with max append 2) to be able to do it. That rules out black grail, and it also means that any events with CEs that don't have NP gauge will rule her out immediately. I think A tier or possibly high B would be more reasonable. I just don't think she excels either as support or as DPS. If the narrative around her is to use her as a DPS, then she has to be GODLY at what she does to earn a high rank alongside servants like Melusine. And she just doesn't reach that level in my opinion. I'd definitely say to pull on this banner for love, over everything else.

Somehow I managed to NP5 her within 500 quartz. I guess I'll be using her quite a bit.

It's fine, you don't need to be a Tamamo fan. But be warned against saying Koyan of Darkness has the fluffiest tail around your base, your fox-wife (Tamamo), like any wife knows everything you say.
