FHSS vs DSSS

The difference between FHSS (frequency-hopping spread spectrum) and DSSS (direct-sequence spread spectrum) is their different ways of transmitting the information into a wider bandwidth. ... FHSS uses the process of “hopping” while DSSS connects the signals through pseudo-noise. FHSS is one of the two-spread spectrum technology, which is a form of radio transmission.

Hi! How is possible intercept and decode and listening frequenzy hopping in hf radio(0 30 mhz)? Software for intercept and analizyng and detected these transmission? How is possible? Sdr radio ok and also software??? Tanks and sorry for bad English!

Hi, No problem. To be honest I have never tried to intercept or even any kinds of messages manipulations. So it’s a shame, but I don’t know your questions’ answer.

@@andreazanellato1982 I guess it’s possible but very difficult. Because the frequency hopping pattern is unknown for the interceptor. Therefore, firstly it should be estimated, by leveraging some estimators and filters.

My old RC futaba transmitter "FHSS 2.4g module" is dead, I found just only have 1 DSSS product could I get for replacement, actually I did not really understand it FHSS DSSS sFHSS, , but I still got some useful info from it, DSSS is faster and stable than FHSS. anyway, thanks for sharing and let me know more about DSSS.

Hi, thanks for the comment. Apart from what I said in the video, I would say the biggest problem of FHSS these days is, FHSS due to the hops, it occupies all the band.
