President Marcos met with FIBA officials and members, including two NBA Hall of Famers Yao Ming and Dirk Nowitzki. In his speech, Marcos boasted to FIBA central board members about the love that Filipinos have for basketball, which he said will be felt all through out the tournament.

The professional cameras they are referring to are DSLRs, the same type used by news photographers. Basketball is a big thing for us Filipinos, especially if famous basketball stars visit us. A lot of us idolize them.

We hosted the 1978 FIBA WC Basketball won by Yugoslavia , USA didn't yet send their NBA but just collegiate players . In August USA NBA all star team are playing in Manila against Greece led by Giannis Antetokounmpo so that's an exciting match up Jordan Clarkson will play for the Philippines 🇵🇭 who are bracketed in team A with Italy 🇮🇹 Angola 🇦🇴 Dominican republic

Philippines hosted the 1978 FIBA World cup also won bronze during the 1954 FIBA world cup. Btw there was a FIBA world cup draw at the araneta coliseum that night.

I think this is not the first time the Philippines hosted FIBA world cup during president Marcos senior on October 14 1978 they held FIBA world cup here in the country first in Asia to held FIBA back in the day.

I was in Manila last month and stayed at the bldg right across where you had your pizza. I just heard that you paid $43 a night for your airbnb? We got scammed. We paid $70 a night. And it was a studio.

some kind advice…you really don’t need to focus on your face for every statement. the constant camera turns is very disorienting and hard to watch. maybe look into some basic “cinematography” tips. cheers
