If you get fibre installed, would make a great video for the channel!

FYI, if you go looking for factory parts (bulkhead delete trims etc.) MAN are much cheaper than VW most of the time!

I am ex an BT systems engineer. For most families a speed of 70mbps is plenty fast enough, which means only fibre to the cabinet is needed and not fibre to the premises, which is what most people are already using. Oh and they install a hollow tube first and then used compressed air to blow the fibre in through it

I'm not sure if I'm a minority but for streaming mixed content around the house I'm not sure fttc cuts the mustard anymore. I had that over 10 years ago and it was OK then (occasionally buffered ) but I've had fttp for 10 years and it's been really good. Especially when downloading content which can be hundreds of GB at a time. Can fttc provide guaranteed 70mbps or does it fluctuate based on cabinet usage or is it core network that causes slow downs?

No offence but you’re totally underestimating the average user, 70Mbps isn’t even close to fast enough for a house streaming video to more than one or two devices at most, maybe you’re forgetting KZfaq and lots of other services now host 4K content. In my house there’s four of us, between us we have probably thirty or more internet enabled devices, no way 70Mbps would suffice. Maybe ten years ago.. 😏
