I drive a polaris 550xp but I love all the can-am 1000cc atvs the styling is great and the power is amazing

I dont drive it like a spot quad, I have had many atv's my fav was my bf 750 all done up but it got stollen. So I thought I would try can am, if I would have known about the issues I wouldn't have bought it! Thank you for your in put very help full

@ioliphant My dealer Pines Power Sports and Marine in Prince Albert Saskatchewan put the new frame brace on when I brought it in for service. Mine was showing stress, but the fix is drilled and bolted onto the existing frame and braces the crap out of the area. I'm sure the stress occurred on mine from pulling wheelies and coming down hard...remind you I'm running 29.5" Laws and 3/4" spring spacers on the front shocks. I love my Outy 1000XT!!!!

Btw don't always count on your dealer, just because it is cracked now doesn't mean it won't 200km or 1000km later it is happening to a lot of people. Brp isn't even sending out a notice to owners. This should be a recall and it isn't. Now on the newest 2013's Brp has updated the frame in the factory by welding the bracket on. They have know about this problem for a long time and still have continued to sell the product knowing it will fail sooner or later

Yes I do own one,paid $14400 cash for it and my paint is flaking it is starting to crack. Brp just release a bulletin 2013-1. There is way more then 30 frames cracked! Brp is now installing the brackets for free and extending the warranty 7 years on the frame in that area only. Which is still no good for the people who have cracked frames. They are leaving the cracks open not welding them or sealing them. Now were stuck with open cracks, bikes worth nothing, insurance companies dropping us too.

They are govern to 78 mph stock, if you get the get torqued box it gets rid of the govern. These new G2 frames are cracking! Just do a google search. Or check out can am forums

Do you actually own one? I just happen to, and had mine checked out at the Can-Am dealer... My frame is perfect, no stress fractures, no flaked paint, nothing... The so called thirty frames they have found cracked out of the over 1,000,000 units sold shows it is not a huge concern. The actual problem is in the DPS system attachment to the frame. Can-Am has came out with a fix for that absolutely free of charge to the owner.

Your right seems to be mostly the 1000's that have the problems.

ive had nothing buy luck with mine, granted we dont own a 1000 ( a 500 XT and a 650XT)

i changed my tires because the stock carlisle tires are the worst tires ive ever owned....they constantly get holes in the sidewall...go with 6 ply itp tires
