One week after "Live in Tokyo 2020" where "Holy War" was recorded, Japan locked down. Then, at the time of "Live in Tokyo 2021" where "SET THE WORLD ON FIRE" was recorded, it was held under strict regulations that kept the social distance and allowed only applause. The live for about two hours was burning quietly.

Watch RAISE SOME HELL. I think it's better than what you've seen so far. This is the best metal band on the planet. If you want to see the best hard rock band watch Band Maid DOMINATION live, you won't regret that one either,. Miako (sp?), guitarist stage right is also an EXCELLENT keyboard player. If youi review Swan Song make sure it's the version with the Chopin intro.

Lovebites is the Classic Metal Music equivalent of a 5 Star Roller Coaster. Its All there and then some. We in the West should be flattered and quite thankfull that the young musicians in Japan use Our past works as a mold for their future works. You would be hard pressed too find a better writing and better performing Power Metal/Classic Metal band than Lovebites in these times. The contrast of Beauty Queens and Throw Down Bad ASS Metal is Staggering btw.

You should definitely check out Bandmaid. Another all female Japanese band. I think it was Robert Plant said their drummer is the best rock drummer playing today.

Veteran of live concerts by Purple, Sabbath, Zeppelin, Beck, Queen in their heyday (and many others), and this band could go toe-to-toe with any of them. People get fooled by the fairy princess looks, but they are absolute monsters.

My humble point of view of a non-English speaker. I don't understand the mania of English-speaking people of trying to understand everything the first time. For me, music does not necessarily have to have understandable lyrics to like it or not to like it. Music is feeling, not just words. I've been listening to metal for more than 30 years and to this day I can say without any shame that much more than half of the things I've heard I don't know the lyrics. And you don't need to understand. I like or dislike something based on "musical power". Over time I may discover that a song has great lyrics or maybe they are crap, but it doesn't matter ... Having said that, your video trying to read the lyrics shows you distracted and not paying attention to the video itself and the music. Don't try to understand, just feel.

Music is universal. Music for me comes from the band, the instruments. I don’t speak Japanese, yet songs like Lovebites - epilogue, Nemophilas - Life have me crying with pure emotion. I don’t need lyrics to be moved, the collaborative music coming from talented musicians gives me emotion. Grew up on classic rock, metal. GnR, Dream Theater, Europe, Metallica, Alter Bridge, VH, Heart, Boston, Zepplin, Savatage favs. But Lovebites, Band Maid, Nemophila, and Nightwish from Finland command my listening. But rock has been going full steam in Europe and Japan for years. Lovebites, Nemophila have Maiden, Metallica, Pantera as influences. Lovebites try: Under the red sky, live Mynava blitz, Break the wall, Holy war, Shadowmaker, Scream for me live studio. Nemophila band try : Raitei, it means thunder, and what a thunderous headbanging finish.

Great reaction video dudes. I've been a Metal-er (NOT a so-called "metal head") since the first two Metal songs I ever heard back when I was in Junior High in the mid-80's, which were Haunting The Chapel by Slayer and Ride The Lightning by Metallica. One of the MANY things that I'm unable to understand is where the term 'power metal' comes from. Is it because FAR too many of the 'Yutes' these days don't actually know what the 6 TRUE subcategories of Heavy Metal actually are? Because what all the 'Yutes' actually "claim" is 'power metal' is simply a combination of 3 of the 6 TRUE subcategories of the genre of Heavy Metal, those being Heavy Metal and Speed Metal and Thrash Metal. Wait wait wait wait wait. For the so-called "people" who don't know what a 'Yute' is, I'll say "Youthssssss". That aside, Lovebites not only sets the bar as to what Heavy Metal should sound like, but Lovebites ARE the bar. Miyako and Midori are what it might have sounded like if Kerry King from Slayer and Kirk Hammett from Metallica had ever played on stage together back in their early days. And of course there's Miho, the Original Bassist and Co-founder of the band, who is often overlooked (unfairly I might add), and then there's Haruna on drums (the other Co-founder along with Miho). There's a reason why Haruna is sometimes referred to as the 'pocket nuke', because her drumming is explosive. My opinion is that Haruna on drums sounds a bit like Dave Lombardo and Paul Bostaph combined, but with her own unique style of playing added into the mix. Except for the song Soldier Stands Solitarily, which actually leaves Paul Bostaph out of the equation (no disrespect intended for Paul Bostaph) and instead sounds a bit like Dave Lombardo and Tim 'The Missile' Yeung. Again, my opinion is that Lovebites not only sets the bar as to what Heavy Metal should sound like, but Lovebites ARE the bar. But regardless of my rambling, again great reaction video dudes. By the way, you dudes just got a new subscriber.

All the best Metal and Rock is being made by Japanese bands. And they're all female. Love Lovebites but have to say you should try Band-Maid and Babymetal, especially any live performances. Having been attending live Rock and Metal concerts since 1976 (when I saw Sabbath, Queen, The Who, Sex Pistols and Bob Marley live), I have to say that Band-Maid are the best live Rock band on Earth. And beyond.
