Sadly this year the scouted players mostly have great skill stats but they most of the time have awful physical stats.Youll get a striker who is 16 years old with 80 finishing but his pace will be around 34 sometimes.Hope they balance it out with a patch

Hey Matt I know this is off topic but I think you should do one more season with Arsenal then i think you should do a Real Sociedad career mode since they are starting fresh in real live too. It would be nice since you haven't done a spanish team since Barca in Fifa 12 (I think) It would be cool to see you sing some nice players and turn them into a top club in Spain :D

I've got an ajax career, currently in season 4, where I've got around 10 players with 90+ potential from my youth academy, 1 of them has already reached 80 ovr at 17 years old, youth academy is sick!

I wish regens were like PES. By this, I mean that when a player retires, he returns to the game with the same name and potential, but he is just 17-18 and at the 70-ish overall. So, if Ronaldo retires for example, he would return to the game with the same name (Cristiano Ronaldo) and same game face, but with 17 years and lower stats.

I remember one time back in FIFA 13 i scouted a 14 year old and he stayed 2 seasons on my Youth academy and when i signed him the guy ws like 75 already with Blinding pace. That 1st of May is a blessing

Matt, you should deffo do a Barcelona career mode!. Play the Barcelona way, short and quick passing, triangles, keeping possession "tiki-taka". Sign players that play that way and players that you think would suit Barcelona in real life! Xavi, Iniesta and Alves would all be declining soon so it's a good chance for you to decide who would suit their roles the best!!

That is a glitch that happens when you edit the youth player (changing the kits sleeves and what not, not sure about if changing boots affect this). Avoid editing players

same happend to me, the problem is when you edit your player (change shoes etc). So only way is to not change anything😄

Good little tip there Matt! May have to use that myself although most of my youth players always seem to have terrible physicals no matter what position they are. EA should really fix that.

You so helped me alot... I'm doing a career with Barcelona, and my youth squad just won't grow, but now I know they grow in May... I mean, Munir has been in my first team in the 'Copa del Rey' and in a lot of games in La Liga, and he only went from 66 to 67, And I'm in March...

Don't do Arsenal Career mode anymore! Do some other team's like Liverpool, Valencia, FC Shaktar or Borussia Dortmund!

Start a new Manager Mode with one of the BPL promoted clubs, QPR, Leicster or Burnley. I've started one with QPR and i find it very challenging. Nice tips there by the way for scouting. Thankyou!

MGH you should wait for the May update and see how much their overalls go up, and if u save and then offer them a contract, you can exit out and start it up and their overalls WKF and Skills would change

That may upgrade thing is insane, i had a cdm called Gil Anibal who was 44-48 rated and 16, he had a potential of 88-94 however then necpxt month he was 62-66. 2 or 3 seasons. Later he is 84 rated

You also don't have to scout normal players. Just go to team sheets and choose 'Import Team Sheet' and you can see all ratings of the first team of every team. Sorry if there's something wrong i'm not the best in english :P

Would really like to see you start a career with Everton. Good standard players to start with and you can work them to the top as a challenge. Other suggestions: Valencia, Sevilla, West Ham.

Another way to do it is to be a national team manager and just use youth players from that nation. As soon as a youth player is generated in the scouting report, he is available for national team selection and you can see all their attributes. Fun to do New Zealand and in a few years have a full national team of young players and make NZ a powerhouse country :D

I know how to make a youth team in which most of the players have around 88-94 potential, and can get over 70+ overall. But they can also be like, 82-88, 83-89, or 85-91. I've got a player who's 18 with 82 overall(striker) and a few more guys with 81+ overall and they're below 22 If you need help how to do it, comment here, it's pretty easy

Sorry for the super late reply... :D Hire 3 best(yes best, exp and judg both 5) scouts and send them to countries that are best for the youth program (I usually go with Brazil, Germany and France, but later Argentina, Spain, Serbia or the ex-Yu countries, oh and Sweden has some epic players). Send the scouts on diffrent dates, like 10th, 20th and 25th. Always save your game before and after the game, but only when suitable. For an example, you can have a match like: You're Barca and you're playing against RCD Espanol, and the date you're getting the scout brief is after the match day, fast forward the match, don't play it. If you like the score you check your scout brief of one of the scouts. If there are no guys from 74-94 in the squad, you go back and re-do the match. Always read the mails before the save. And that's how you go round in a circle always... It doesn't take too long but still. Oh and every first of the month, check if all the players in the youth team have grown good, and didn't downgrade, not even for a 74-93 or something like that. Good luck :D

Don't do a Real Sociedad for you next career mode, Use Athletic Bilbao who have a great all round team and a half descent transfer budget.

Michael Seegert That's odd, I can really recall that this worked on PS3. Oh well, there's no real need to know the player's stats anyway, you can tell if he's good or not by the estimates most of the time.

it doesn't really bother me I was just saying it doesn't work for me. I would rather wait and see how they turn out, I always wait till May anyway because I knew that they boost in stats loads! I only sign them when they tell me they want to leave that's the only time I sign a youth player so besides that I just leave them in the youth academy to grow
