Thanks ovvy without your tutorials i wouldn't be in division one in seasons and ultimate team. I really did need this defending tutorial and thanks to it I have a 7 game win streak and a 11 game streak without my opponent scoring more than 1 goal so thanks again ovvy

Ovvy, like always great video with seamless instructions you hit almost all my questions with each vid. like this one for instance I catch my self diving in on players trying to take away possession and it leaves my opponent with a huge lane to drive. but I now see the ability to sit back and make them screw the pooch. keep'em coming broham!

ovvy your videos are great, showed me alot on fifa so am sure this has helped me get to division 1, when do you use the a button contain because i never use the a contain so i may be missing on on something its good for, also what is usually the best way to defend in your own box, i finding it really hard to tackle in my own box because just a slight push pull and it penalty almost every time, i usually just try stand in the way press nothing and hope my opponent misses so i need do better at defending in my own box

Amazing tutorial Ovvy. Now is clear how to use it correctly. Sometimes I was using the jockey with the sprint buttom pressed and the precision was the problem. Sometimes it left too much space for the opponent perform a skill move and beat the defenders. I also use contain, but for sure let much space for the opponent. I have to practice a lot to master this technique. The sprint players are being used too much in FIFA 15. I had problems to defend againt CR7. These tips will help a lot. Thanks very much bud. Your channel became reference in FIFA content. Everyday I come here to watch something new & like the vids. Last year the Custom tactics tutorial helped a lot to get a balanced team. For sure you're doing tests to supply us a good content. I tried playing on balanced or even defensive but noticed that sweaty teams were able to do just one long ground through pass to their attackers and they were 1 on 1 with my GK. When I set to ultra def or park the bus it's a bit better but then I get less of my players going up making it harder to attack. Do You have any advice on that? Also... how do You switch players in defense? With LB or the right stick?

Thanks so much I've been doing just the jockey but not standing tackle so this helped a lot against all types of players

I do try to back off and jockey/standing tackle/slide tackle. What annoys me is when (Ronaldo more often than not) sprints, then changes direction on a diagonal. I know exactly what I want my player to do, but they're so stupid on this game, they'll get sucked in, when I want them to back off. Is there an option to give my players a footballing brain, instead of one made of Play-Doh? Currently I start with sliders set to 20 for aggression, so they should sit back. Help me Ovvy..... you're my only hope.

How to charge on the opponent team aggressively to win the ball possession. Any tips.

so the problem i have with this is sometimes i tackle as i turn towards my own goal and they keep sprinting and just take the ball straight back from me... alot of times im able to just pass back to my keeper but sometimes i just cant get rid of the ball fast enough.

Please do a video on "Contain". Its a large mystery to many people after the introduction of Tactical Defending. Do you just hold the Contain button? Or do you accompany it with direction buttons? Can u contain and sprint at the same time? When to do Contain defending? Do we even need to use Contain at all?

I tried all this tips,i also checked another tutorials and practice a lot,still when i play online the opponent allways seems to be a step forward my defenders are always a step back no matter what i do in the game. Ever since fifa 14 i simply cant defend,and what i hate the most when u clear the ball from a corner or a cross the ball all the time go's to the opponent no matter in what direction i cleared it the opponent is always first to the ball. every time I slide tackle I take the ball off the opponent feet but can't gain control over it if this happens close to the side of the pitch the ball just ends up going off the pitch and they get a throw in so they still have posesion when I play the CPU they do what I do but they get control of the ball some times a CPU player slides and if I'm able to still keep the ball then he gets up super fast and slides again and takes the ball away from me when I slide my player takes like one year to get on his feet :-(

Hey, Great Video Ovvy! Just thought i'd throw this out there. People who are sick and tired of defending the likes of Ronaldo, Bale, Messi etc There is a way to avoid them by playing 4 star or less and changing the match settings to "Match Mine" U still get some great teams and players + it feels more like a real soccer match to me. Can you tell how to get ball after corners, after opponent shots? I mean, after my corner kick, when opponent clear ball, he almost always get ball. When I defend corner kick and after I clear ball, my opponent get a ball and may shoot or whatever.he wants. And after shot on goal - the same story. If I shot and goalkeeper defend, I rarely have a second chance.. And when my opponent shot on my goal, after my defense, he almost always get ball again..? I thought that's my bad luck, but it seems that I am doing something wrong (or nothing :))

Man I am getting abused by fast strikers coming through the middle on counter attack or the easy 1 - 2 pass into open net when i send out my keeper. Any advice on how to stop the runner with the CB easier. Either my timing isnt right.

I was playing someone the other day who had Obifemi Martins in his team all he did was try and run him full speed through the middle i just had one of my Cbs on user and hit teammate contain worked every time

Hey Ovvy! I have a challenge for you. The challenge is to play a game on legendary and use sliders AGAINST you.

So ehm, what about pressing A(xbox) for defending? many other youtubers suggest that. something like tripple tap A near opponent. I really want to get better at defending, this is the only thing right now to improve to higher leagues

This is easy to counter by sprinting/dribbling from out wide diagonally across the area. The defenders are square on and so don't have the acceleration to keep up with the dribbler. The defender's AI sucks balls leaving wide open spaces which makes it even easier

another question ovvy when i do my own custom tactic (i know i cant save it) and start the game,and then pause the game it shows that i am on deafult tactic instead of my own custom tactic . it also occurs with player instructions i do before a game instructions and then when i pause the game and go to team mangagment its back to default again. do toy know how to solve it?

Ovvy what u think about custom tactics in this FIFA 15? I don't see a lot of tutorials in this begining of this 15 edition.
