FIFA 17 Career Mode Tips : How To Boost Potential Using the Potential Glitch

In today's video I'm going to be taking a look at how to increase a player's potential in FIFA 17, utilising the loan glitch in order to demonstrate how loaning a player out can alter a player's potential.
Watch out though as when a player is loaned out or transfers from one club to another, their potential can actually decrease as well as increase. Loaning a player out does not always work in your favour.

Tip: recall them around a month before the end if the season to actually make sure they get games and a higher potential

Nice video, really. Thanks for the information. I'm also doing it more times. For exemple on the goalkeeper Gunn to make him the second Butland because he also has a real face. But I still have a question. From which age the glitch doesn't work anymore? I hope someone will answer me.

Just be careful as even if they go up in rating or potential you can stunt their growth and break them al together

Hey Rich, just wondering does your player have to be a certain overall to get his potential to boost, im trying to get ruben loftus cheek's potential up on my game but it just keeps saying showing great potential, he's 68 overall by the way

i need help i did this to a player who had 82 potential (sofifa) ( showing great potential was his status). after 2 times his status was potential to be special then i put him in my starting team played for like 2months and his status change to at the club since 2015 what happend?? other players who had exciting prospect there status changes to at the club since aswell (didn't even do the glitch on then)

You can recall them straight away, yeah. That's what I was doing with Januzaj. It doesn't seem to make much difference whether you call them back instantly or wait, so you might as well do it immediately.

What happens if you edit a players stats that has a high potential (e.g.) Dybala so he starts the career mode at 88 will his potential change from 93 to 95 ( I hope you understand what I mean) I would love to see a video to see if this actually works. Great video btw 👍🏼

Use SoFIFA. The only in-game method is to check if they're 'Showing Great Potential' (80-84), an 'Exciting Prospect (85-89)', or have 'The Potential To Be Special' (90+). But that won't always display for various reasons and is obviously more of a vague number than SoFIFA will provide, so the best thing is to go there.

Regens appear when a player retires, whilst pregens appear in the game at the exact same club as someone that's still playing.

BrayanPlays- FIFA IOS HD what I did yo fix that was save on deadline day, then go through it normally. If I get no offers load it up again and repeat that until I get a loan offer. Only took me 2 tries

What is the best potential a player can have? Since I have seen from has potential to be special to great potential.

Potential to be special, mate. Great Potential is 80-84. Exciting prospect = 85-89. Whilst potential to be special means that they have 90+ potential.

Rich Leigh ah nice!! Got 4 youth players with potential to be special x) 1 cam, 2 wingers and 1 CB one of the wingers is 86 rated now and 18 of age. Lol..his pace is actually not bad 80 sprint speed and 79 acceleration. He can also play CAM and 4 star weak foot and 4 star skills. His finishing is 95...he is a beast

Depends what you're looking for really... They're both 78/90. Rashford has the height advantage, whilst Gabriel Jesus has the skills.

There's a Dutch player called dos Santos or something and I got him for like 2-3 mil. His potential is only about 76 or so but using the training it's easy to boost him up to 80 and above. He has 90 + pace decent stamina and 4 star skills. Musonda is a great pick up too but will cost a lot more.
