R1 is actually important as well this year cause defenders can easily intercept the ball when attackers stand close to them

Calling attackers with R1 and doing driven passes is shockingly effective this year. 2/3 passes and you're already in the opponents box

Yeah it is but at times the gameplay is garbage and the players just stay there and watch the ball move when they have the ability to incept like I don’t understand why the game mechanics are just bad

I use both a lot honestly one thing I like to do is bringing in someone (R1) then having them take off (L1) as simple as it sounds that shit even confuses the AI. Doing that same combo backwards helps when you’re trying to keep possession on your opponents half when trying to secure a W and not look like a bitch.

This is very very true.. I've tried it.. noticed that I messed it up before. I thought I was doing L1 and not running too much..but the touches while running are just horrendous this year. Plus stamina depletes too damn quickly.. You fixed it with this video Neal! Thanks~!

I only use R1 when a call a player then press L1 pass so the player makes a run. Also when players are standing offside.

You absolute legend!! I am a div 3 player last year i quit early but was gold 2/3 champs. I've been grinding the game and watching your vids. Was playing a draft and was in the final and I've been struggling to win one. So i watched this video and followed these tips and the guy left after 2-0 and i won the final I'll be playing this way from now on! 👊 Also i packed van dijk and a rttf player in my rewards made over 200k 🔥. All thanks to you!

In the first example, creative running would be better than L1? As the player on the ball has no one around him, so you can control the other player, run in to space and then request the pass. I like L1 though. Please can you do a video on R1 as that’s the one that I find more difficult to know when to use effectively. Thank you

that L1 trigger either doesn't always work, or I'm doing it wrong. do we need to point the left joystick at the player we want to make the run, or is it just the player that is closest to the player with the ball (similar to switching on defense)? For example, if I'm controlling my LB with the ball, I want my LW/LM to make a forward run, and I'm attacking right to left, then I need to point the left joystick 90 degrees to the left (or West) in order for my LM/LW to make the run? Seems like it works sometimes but not others and I'm not sure what I'm doing wrong. LoL

Super interesting. I'm always pressing R1 to bring the player to me to give myself a pssing option without thinking about the knock on effects of using L1 for multiple players to create more space for others

hi can you do a tutorial on how to pass in this god dam terrible system EA have made with passing and also i would love to know the button to use to teleport a defender or player right next to the player with the ball of the opposing team , and whats the secret in sliding straight through a player , getting the ball without it being a foul or a yellow or red card , when done from behind , or just barging straight through a player like its american football !!!! ???
