yup, at the very least the first 2 shots from brazil would have had to be re-taken. Marcelo's penalty went in, but if it hadn't maybe it would've been fair too. Just look at 4:21 or 7:13, it's ridiculous

It's sad that Chile failed to qualify for 2018 and 2022. I remember an article that predicted either Germany, France, Netherlands, Belgium, or Chile would win the 2018 World Cup. It's sad that both Netherlands and Chile failed to qualify.

we got robbed by Colombia and Peru, we got out by 1 goal that Colombia and Peru did organize to draw their game and qualify both, not fair tho. In 2022 it was different, our players got old and we had no re-change for them, but with Ricardo Gareca that changed and we are ready to come back for 2026

Tbf you can only say that in hindsight after we saw in the semis. No one could’ve ever possibly predicted a 7-1 blitzkrieg by Germany, at just how reliant brazil were on 2 players (Neymar and Thiago). Hence without any knowledge of the 7-1, a R16 loss to Chile on penalties, would’ve actually been there worst result since 1990. So they still would’ve been regarded as a shame
