If you watched this fight when it happened and knew nothing about Mayweather, this was enough to tell you this kid really got the juice. Fast hands, good jab, defensive mindset, footwork, head movement, body puncher, counter punching, can fight going forward, can fight going backward, transition from defense to offense on a dime, can make adjustments, good inside fighter defensively and offensively. Man he showed a lot of layers in only two rounds.

Absolutely, even during the preliminary stages of his prolific career he established his prevalent boxing IQ as well as his superior skill set in the ring .Floyd made it evident that even at such a tender age, his comprehension of the sweet science of boxing was light-years ahead of which ever opposition he would come up against. Personally I prefer watching boxing that's more like an intricately calculated chess match as oppose to watching boxing that's more like some clumsy & lousy bar fight.

And a good chin @Troy Brown a supreme left hook to the body and left jab to head plus his accuracy means he can be conservative with the punches thrown as compared to his opponents a high percentage tend to land head is nearly always up as he has the speed to counter punch or avoid taking blows where as opponents cover up with gloves or put head down all in all a top 3 of all time fighter

@@user-zf1lh8xk5l even young Mike tyson had good boxing IQ and technical even though he was a brawler it makes it fun to watch

Many people are criticizing this Man because he's not fighting the way people want. He's not like other great boxers who fight with the pride of their fans and countrymen. Floyd is boxing for his own satisfaction and he doesn't care what other people say against him, and that's an attitude that a PROFESSIONAL should have. He's not my favorite boxer, but he has my respect!

This fight used to be super rare prior to the KZfaq days. Websites that used to sell career dvd sets would have every one of Floyd’s pro fights except for this one

Floyd just kept getting better and better as each fight took place. His Mother told him he was a blessed and diff child and knew he had the Mayweather fighting blood. His dreams came true

At this point of Floyd's career, Sam probably landed the most punches to Floyd's face.

To true amazing figjter though most people keep him on 49 or even 48 and he should of lost against Castillo which is why he fought him again just months later still in top 3 of all time

Mayweather gets a lot of stick, and hes not my faveorite boxer by any means, but he is great at what he does. Total respect to him, he has to be up there in the top 20 maybe even top 10.

it looks like half of floyd's opponents think they fall by accident, and then again. They don't understand how they lose and look so confused, lmao. "Why am I on the floor again? I was just about to beat him."

I was at this fight. That was when Floyd was great but the other fighter really wasn't that good
