@@andreiacacio2010 They're all converted to southpaw for one, whether or not they use the style. A lot of them (like the Barthelemy Brothers) also rely on a weirdly arcing bolo punch that goes back to the days of Kid Chocolate. Because amateur and Olympic boxing was the only kind allowed there for a long time, they usually don't put the emphasis on KOs and a "fan friendly" style although some of the heavyweights can be fan-friendly, and the smaller fighters are capable of putting on classics if their opponent comes out aggressive.

@@andreiacacio2010 Start by noticing they almost always jockey for outside position with their lead foot, to line up the jab. Like Lomachenko they're "foot first" fighters who constantly struggle for the outside.

@@Duran420 Actually both of you guys are not correct. Almost no Cubans go pro and the ones that do do great but they age out, move up or they had weak chins. All of the ones in recent memory were good fighters. They still dominate your favorite fighters on the biggest state every 4 years( or Pan American and other events) and have guys like Oscar Valdez, Shakur Stevenson, Keyshawn David taking Ls.

With Lara only having 2 losses, one of which was a robbery (Williams) and another of which was seen as highly controversial (Canelo) Lara is a tough fight for anyone at 154. I wasn't the greatest fighter but I tried to entertain the crowd and yes...I got dropped more than once but got back up and tried to take the fight to my opponent. Funny you mentioned Gatti, I got to see him fight in Hull Quebec 1990. I was there representing British Columbia. My first nationals. Gatti got gold. I brawled with a good fighter from P.E.I. and lost. But I took alot of chances in the amateurs. Some worked. Some didn't.
