Its always funny to me when i here people say Floyd "Runs" and he's so defense heavy, yet in almost every Bout He had I see Him in Attack mode Often and with purpose. i know merchant is a blatant racist, but i think the majority of hbo tried to downplay floyd because they saw oscar, roy jones and b-hop as their marquee fighters. until he cut ties with arum and the money persona came out floyd had the power to market himself. karma came around for hbo because soon after floyd left for showtime... they were out of boxing entirely. hbo should have backed the best boxer ever instead of hiding oscar's cross dressing, drug/alcohol use, raping a 15 year old girl in mexico, soliciting and abusing prostitutes and marriage problems. but no, floyd is the bad boy remember? smh...

Mayweather rarely uses a right cross unless momentum is carrying him forward. He uses the right primarily as a parry hand and hook blocker. His best right punches are pull counters.

Yes, the right cross is one of PBFs best punches (along with the left hook). He does lead with it, but doesn't always throw many, and usually throws it when he's skipping forward with momentum. An exception to that would be when he fought southpaws, such as Chop Chop Corley and Victor Ortiz. Floyd positioned himself in those bouts so he could shoot his right without a running start.

As someone who has pulled his rotator cuff, there's no pain when touched or struck as it is an interior muscle. It only hurts when intentionally moved in a certain way. Swinging at someone's deltoid muscle (which has nothing to do with the rotator cuff) does nothing except waste energy and destroy your punch/landing percentage.

I think people hated Mayweather is because it's never really close. It's like an adult fighting a child, and people sense that. The other boxer is trying so hard, but Mayweather ruthlessly stole all their power with that jab to the body, that lightning fast full lunge jab they can't even counter and then dissected them when they are weak in last three rounds. Mayweather fights like he's making a sandwich and the other boxer is helpless. That's what people find boring, but I think it's fascinating.
