The trauma of working in the frontlines as an acute and critical care Infectious Disease specialist during the chaos and stress of 2020-21, motivated Dr. Liu to promote practical health and wellness principles for her community.

Dr. Liu is the co-founder of NACPro+, dedicated to optimizing immunity and wellness.
Dr. Liu graduated from Loma Linda University School of Medicine in 1998 and is Double Boarded in Infectious Disease and Internal Medicine. She is licensed in the state of California.
This channel is separate from Dr. Liu’s duties as Attending Medical Staff @ Cedars-Sinai Medical Center and as Assistant Professor at Loma Linda University School of Medicine. The views on this channel are her own.

I thought the most recent and best way to remove pesticides from produce was to soak in a baking soda and water solution for app. 20 minutes.

I always hear people say soy is bad for us - I know it needs to be non GMO and organic - definitely not soy isolates that so many use in their protein drinks. I also take an omega 3 supplement - I am allergic to seafood, but even if I weren't - I would not touch it in our over-poluted oceans.

Thanks, doc, for another great video. I eat lots of tofu, but my oncologist gave it a thumbs down as I had ER+ breast cancer and have the BRCA1 gene. Do you think soy is okay for any/all of the many different types of breast cancers?

What does your oncologist say about animal, poultry and dairy estrogen? If he doesn’t have a problem with eating mammalian and avian estrogen, he’s reading the wrong scientific papers. Fiber rich whole foods and soybeans have been shown to be protective against breast cancer which supports observational studies that cultures who eat more whole soy beans have reduced rates of breast cancer but that doesn’t mean one should go overboard and megadose on any one singular food.

@@HealthyimmunedocUnsurprisingly, my doc said nothing about animal, poultry, or dairy. Glad I went with my own research and went mostly vegan (cheese though, please). Thanks for confirming and for replying here and for providing these informative videos from an expert who actually cares.
